10 things to know about this 'spectacular' schedule

Eagles Insider Dave Spadaro analyzes everything from the prime-time games to the home/road splits and everything in between.

Did You Know?

• For the first time in six years, Philadelphia will kick off the regular season at Lincoln Financial Field when the Eagles host the Dallas Cowboys in a Thursday night showdown. The Eagles' last season opener at home was against Washington in 2019, when they won by a 32-27 score.

• Philadelphia will host the Dallas Cowboys on kickoff weekend for just the second time in history, having also done so in the 1970 campaign. Overall, this will be the fifth Week 1 matchup between the Eagles and Cowboys (previously 1970, 1972, 1976, and 2000). In the last season opener against Dallas in 2000, Philadelphia produced a 41-14 victory at Texas Stadium.

• The Eagles will travel to the Kansas City Chiefs for a Super Bowl LIX rematch in Week 2. The last time the two clubs played in the regular season happened in 2023, when Philadelphia beat Kansas City, 21-17, at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday Night Football.

• The Eagles will take on the Washington Commanders twice over the final three weeks of the season. The last time the division rivals squared off was in the 2024 NFC Championship Game, when Philadelphia set an NFL conference championship record with 55 points scored.

• The Eagles have at least five scheduled prime-time games for the fourth straight year. Philadelphia has appeared in the second-most prime-time games (109, tied) in the NFL since 2000.
