The Eagles fell to the Browns, 22-13, in Week 2 of the preseason.

The Eagles fell to the Cleveland Browns, 22-13, in Week 2 of the preseason. Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Kyle McCord split the snaps at quarterback for Philadelphia.

Here's what happened on Saturday at Lincoln Financial Field:

First Quarter

  • SACK! Jihaad Campbell gets right to Dillon Gabriel for a sack on the second play of the game. Campbell bursted right through the line on a blitz.
  • The Browns take an early lead with a 4-yard touchdown run from Ahmani Marshall. Cleveland went 63 yards on 13 plays for the score. After the touchdown, a bad snap led to a missed extra point. (Browns 6 - Eagles 0)

Second Quarter

  • PICK SIX! Andrew Mukuba comes up with a pick six of Dillon Gabriel, jumping a route and returning it 75 yards for the score. Just like that, the Eagles have the lead and Mukuba comes up with the biggest play of the preseason so far. (Eagles 7 - Browns 6)
  • Azeez Ojulari comes up with a sack on third down, forcing the Browns to kick a field goal. (Browns 9 - Eagles 7)
  • FUMBLE RECOVERY! Andrew Mukuba has a fumble recovery on a muffed handoff. It's Mukuba's second turnover of the game.
  • TOUCHDOWN! Ainais Smith has his second touchdown of the preseason, bringing in a 9-yard pass from rookie quarterback Kyle McCord. The Eagles went 31 yards on seven plays for the score. After a roughing the passer penalty, the Eagles went for two but the attempt was unsuccessful. (Eagles 13 - Browns 9)
  • The Browns cut into Philadelphia's lead with a 49-yard field goal. (Eagles 13 - Browns 12)

Third Quarter

  • The Browns take the lead with a pick six. Dorian Thompson-Robinson was hit on the throw and the ball popped into the air and was intercepted. (Browns 19 - Eagles 13)

Standouts

S Andrew Mukuba

Mukuba had the play of the game, jumping a pass for the interception and returning it 75-yard for the Eagles' first touchdown. Later in the half, Mukuba had a fumble recovery that set up another Eagles score. It was a memorable first game with the Birds for the second-round pick.

LB Jihaad Campbell

Campbell had his first sack of the preseason, shooting through the gap on a blitz. The first-round pick had four tackles while getting his first start with Philadelphia.

P Braden Mann

Mann had a beautiful 62-yard punt to the Cleveland 14-yard line. Mann had a long punt of 67 yards and averaged 52.3 yards across his seven punts.

LB Smael Mondon

Mondon had a strong second preseason game, blowing up a Browns series with back-to-back tackles near the line of scrimmage. The rookie kept plays in front of him and had some highlights on Saturday.
