National Recycling Day, Eagles' GO GREEN program knows no borders
"Sustainability is no longer confined to just the operational aspect of our organization," said Norman Vossschulte, Director of Fan Experience and Sustainability. "It is a key pillar of who we are, what we stand for, and how we operate as a team. That starts with great leadership at the very top with Jeffrey Lurie and Don Smolenski. It has a trickle-down effect and empowers us as employees to take action in our personal and professional lives."
The Eagles have and Braskem have created a closed-loop recycling program in order to recycle bottle caps from Lincoln Financial Field. Repurposing this material helped us to create an 8-foot-tall replica Vince Lombardi Trophy to commemorate the Eagles World Championship. Plastics benefit our lives by preserving and protecting our beverages and food, making sports equipment lighter and safer, and light weighting cars and planes to use less energy and fuel, just to name a few ways! It's up to all of us to make sure we recycle these products at the end of their life to create a new life as post-recycled material to continue benefiting our lives.
