Game Recap: Chargers 22, Eagles 19

The Eagles fall to the Chargers in overtime on Monday Night Football.

The Eagles lose their third straight game, falling to the Chargers, 22-19, in overtime on Monday Night Football.

Here is how it happened:

1st Quarter

2nd-and-goal at PHI 4 (8:53)

  • The Chargers get on the board first with a 4-yard reception by rookie Omarion Hampton. The drive was sparked by a 60-yard catch-and-run by Kimani Vidal on 3rd-and-7. (Chargers 7 – Eagles 0)

4th-and-8 at LAC 23 (3:26)

  • Field Goal! Jake Elliott makes a 41-yard field goal to give the Eagles points on their second drive. Dallas Goedert converted a 3rd-and-12 over the middle to put Philadelphia in field goal range. (Chargers 7 – Eagles 3)

2nd Quarter

3rd-and-15 at PHI 32 (12:55)

  • Third Down Stop! Cooper DeJean is in tight coverage and swats a deep ball to Ladd McConkey to force a Chargers punt!

4th-and-4 at PHI 27 (4:58)

  • The Chargers extend their lead with a 45-yard field goal from Cameron Dicker. Los Angeles got the ball after a turnover from Jalen Hurts. (Chargers 10 – Eagles 3)

1st-and-10 at PHI 30 (4:38)

  • Forced Fumble! Nakobe Dean bulldozes running back Omarion Hampton and then strip sacks Justin Herbert for the turnover recovered by Byron Young. The forced fumble comes on the play after Jalen Hurts threw an interception in Philadelphia territory.

4th-and-goal at LAC 12 (:51)

  • Field Goal! The Eagles cut into their deficit with a 30-yard field goal from Jake Elliott. Saquon Barkley got the drive going with numerous strong runs after a Nakobe Dean forced fumble gave the Eagles possession. (Chargers 10 – Eagles 6)

3rd-and-4 at LAC 37 (:17)

  • Interception! Adoree' Jackson nabs his first interception of the season as Jaelan Phillips hits Justin Herbert's arm on the pass attempt! The Chargers were flagged for unnecessary roughness on the play, putting the Eagles in field goal range, but Jake Elliott misses from 48-yards before halftime.

3rd Quarter

4th-and-goal at PHI 16 (5:36)

  • The Eagles hold the Chargers to a 34-yard field goal and keep it a one possession game. Philadelphia forced two straight negative plays push the Chargers back. (Chargers 13 – Eagles 6)

4th-and-8 at LAC 36 (3:26)

  • Field Goal! Jake Elliott makes a 54-yard field goal to cut into the Los Angeles lead. A 26-yard grab by A.J. Brown on the opening play of the drive set up the Eagles score. (Chargers 13 – Eagles 9)

4th Quarter

3rd-and-1 at PHI 48 (15:00)

  • FAKE TUSH PUSH TOUCHDOWN! The Eagles line up for a Tush Push, presented by DUDE Wipes, but pitch the ball out to Saquon Barkley who runs 52 yards for a touchdown! Darius Cooper and Dallas Goedert had a key blocks on the run as the Eagles take their first lead! (Eagles 16 – Chargers 13)

4th-and-3 at PHI 13 (7:29)

  • The Chargers tie the game thanks to a 31-yard field goal by Cameron Dicker. Los Angeles got possession after a ball bounced off A.J. Brown's hands and was intercepted. The Eagles get the ball back with 7:26 remaining. (Eagles 16 – Chargers 16)

3rd-and-7 at LAC 28 (4:28)

  • HUGE SACK! Jordan Davis brings down Justin Herbert on third down and forces a Chargers punt! The Eagles take over at their 40-yard line with 3:33 remaining and all three timeouts in a tie game.

4th-and-11 at LAC 26 (2:20)

  • Field Goal! The Eagles take the lead with a 44-yard field goal by Jake Elliott! A.J. Brown came up with gains of 15 and 19 yards to put the Eagles into field goal range. The Chargers get the ball back with 2:16 remaining and one timeout. (Eagles 19 – Chargers 16)

4th-and-1 at PHI 29 (:12)

  • The Chargers tie the game with eight seconds remaining on a 46-yard field goal from Cameron Dicker. Monday Night Football heads to overtime where both teams will have the opportunity to possess the ball. (Eagles 19 – Chargers 19)

4th-and-6 at PHI 36 (6:29)

  • Cameron Dicker makes a 54-yard field goal to give the Chargers the lead. The Eagles will get the ball, and they can win with a touchdown. (Chargers 22 – Eagles 19)

1st-and-10 at LAC 17 (2:35)

  • Jalen Hurts is intercepted deep in Chargers territory, and the Eagles lose their third consecutive game.

In the final game of Week 14 of the 2025 NFL season, the two winningest active head coaches in Nick Sirianni and Jim Harbaugh square off as the 8-4 Eagles are in Los Angeles to take on the 8-4 Chargers in a game with huge playoff implications.
