Biography

Community Involvement:

I believe community involvement is a powerful force that brings people together, fosters inclusivity and provides support for making a difference. It has always been a huge part of my life. As a special education teacher, actively supporting the special needs community has been a passion of mine since I was in middle school. I have volunteered for the Special Olympics, been a buddy for special needs prom, participated in fashion shows, and walks/runs that contribute to creating an environment that recognizes and supports individuals with diverse abilities. I am currently a part of the Autism Awareness Committee at my school, and recently created an afterschool program in which I teach students of various abilities how to dance! I am looking forward to continuing to engage with the community through the Eagles Autism Foundation.

Favorite Appearance:

My favorite appearance was participating in the Eagles Autism Foundation's TODAY Show takeover in New York City. As part of the event, we had the opportunity to showcase the various All Abilities Clinics, which creates an inclusive environment for individuals with special needs to participate alongside their peers. It was incredibly rewarding to see the joy on the faces of the thirty families who joined us for this once-in-a-lifetime experience. Being able to kick off the month of April to promote Autism Acceptance Month on a national platform and demonstrate the impact of the foundation's work was truly inspiring!
