Giants In Awe Of Eagles' Addition Of Vick

Wow.

The Eagles' addition of quarterback Michael Vick has been an obvious hot-button topic in locker rooms across the NFL. But for one of the team's top rivals, the New York Giants, to go out of their way to shower the Eagles with praise is intriguing.

The New York Daily News' Ralph Vacciano had two quotes that might be telling of what the rest of the league thinks the Eagles offense could become with Vick in the fold.

"They have so many more options in there now," defensive end Justin Tuck. "How do you game plan them now? Obviously we've got some time and we'll figure it out, but it definitely gives them options and it's going to keep every defense on their heels."

Hey, head coach Andy Reid reiterated on Saturday that he believed the feeling amongst defensive coordinators around the league was that Vick was someone you had to worry about. Now, add in Donovan McNabb, Brian Westbrook, LeSean McCoy, DeSean Jackson ... and so on

"As far as Philadelphia is concerned, it's hard for me to say this but I'm proud of that franchise," defensive end Osi Umenyiora said. "That was a big step they took. A lot of people didn't have the (guts) to make a move like that. But they did. As much as I hate to say this, because I've kind of been bred to hate that franchise, I'm happy for them. I think they did a good thing."

What we saw from Vick on Saturday at practice was encouraging, but there's still a ton of work to be done before he can integrated as a weapon in this offense.
