Ahead of Saturday evening's NFC East showdown with the rival Washington Commanders, the Eagles elevated two players from the practice squad – tight end E.J. Jenkins and cornerback Brandon Johnson.

TE E.J. Jenkins

The 6-foot-6, 245-pound Jenkins is elevated for the second time this season. Jenkins was called up for the Week 7 win over Minnesota, where he played five snaps on offense and 19 on special teams.

Originally signed as a rookie free agent by the New York Jets following the 2023 NFL Draft, Jenkins has spent the majority of the past two seasons on the Eagles' practice squad. Last year, Jenkins played eight games for the Eagles, both as a practice squad elevation and later in the season after he was signed to the active roster. Jenkins hauled in his first NFL catch and NFL touchdown in the regular-season finale against the Giants. He played nearly as many snaps on special teams (91) in the regular season as he did on offense (95).

Tight end Cameron Latu, who also serves as a fullback, is questionable for Saturday's game after suffering a stinger last Sunday in the win over the Raiders. Latu was a full participant in Thursday's practice.

CB Brandon Johnson

This marks the first elevation for the rookie free agent out of Oregon, paving the way for Johnson to make his NFL debut on the same night that his alma mater is playing in the College Football Playoff.

The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Johnson battled for a roster spot with the Eagles over the summer, competing primarily as a nickel defender. After playing for three seasons at Duke, where he earned his degree in sociology, Johnson transferred in 2024 to Oregon, where he racked up 45 tackles, six passes defensed, and an interception for the Ducks, who won the Big Ten Championship in the school's first season in the conference.
