The NFL announced on Monday that Jalen Carter was ranked as the 29th best player entering the 2026 NFL season by his peers.
The fourth-year defensive tackle is the fourth Eagle to make the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2026 list, following Jalen Hurts (No. 56), Quinyon Mitchell (No. 47), Zack Baun (No. 45), Cooper DeJean (No. 38), and Saquon Barkley (No. 34).
Carter was ranked No. 43 in the NFL's Top 100 Players of 2025, his first appearance on the list.
In 11 regular season games in 2025, Carter recorded 33 tackles, five tackles for loss, three sacks, 29 quarterback pressures, and seven passes defended. Of those seven passes, six were batted down at the line of scrimmage which tied him with teammate Jordan Davis in second-most batted passes in the league by defensive tackles. The 25-year-old earned his second Pro Bowl selection in 2025.
Drafted in the first round of 2023, Carter has become one of the best interior defensive linemen in the league. His performances through his first three years in the league were rewarded earlier this offseason when Carter and the Eagles came to a four-year contract extension through the 2031 season. - Written by Caroline Connor
