Friday's Injury Report

Linebacker Nakobe Dean will have to wait at least another week to make his 2025 season debut.

Dean was a full participant in Friday's practice, but he was ruled out and will not be activated for Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos.

The Eagles opened Dean's 21-day practice window on Wednesday and the linebacker was a limited participant on both Wednesday and Thursday.

Dean suffered a patellar tendon injury in his knee during the 2024 Wild Card Round win over the Packers, which ended his season. He opened this season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, which meant he had to miss the first four games.

From Weeks 6-18 last year, Dean graded out as the second-best linebacker in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus. The only linebacker ahead of him? Teammate Zack Baun.

Dean called game in the November 3 win over Jacksonville, intercepting Trevor Lawrence's pass in the end zone to secure the win. In 15 starts last season, Dean had career highs across the board from tackles (128), tackles for loss (9), QB pressures and hits (19), sacks (3), interceptions (1), forced fumbles (2), and fumble recoveries (1).

Linebacker Jihaad Campbell was the only Eagle on the active roster to miss Friday's practice, but he was excused by the team for personal reasons. He is good to go for Sunday's game.

Everyone else on the active roster was a full participant and will be available for the Eagles, including tight end Dallas Goedert (knee), cornerback Adoree' Jackson (groin), tackle Lane Johnson (shoulder).

Thursday's Injury Report

One tight end returned to practice on Thursday, but another was absent.

Dallas Goedert was a limited participant on Thursday after missing Wednesday's practice due to a knee injury. Meanwhile, Grant Calcaterra was added to the injury report after he did not practice on Thursday due to an illness.

Linebacker Nakobe Dean, who had his 21-day practice window opened on Wednesday, was a limited participant for the second day in a row.

Goedert's return wasn't the only good news for the Eagles on Thursday. Defensive tackle Jalen Carter (shoulder), cornerback Adoree' Jackson (groin), and tackle Lane Johnson (shoulder) were all upgraded to full participants on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday.

Broncos Injury Report

The Broncos added starting right guard Quinn Meinerz to their injury report on Thursday as he did not participate in practice due to an illness. He is the only Denver player on the active roster who did not practice on Thursday.

Thursday marked the first full practice of the week for the Broncos, who beat Cincinnati on Monday night.

The only other change for the Broncos on their injury report was that tight end Nate Adkins returned to practice in a limited capacity with a concussion.

Wednesday's Injury Report

Nakobe Dean had October 1 circled on his calendar since late August. When he found out that he was starting the season on the Physically Unable to Perform list, Dean knew that October 1 would be the first day that he would be eligible to practice.

Dean said that he got to bed early on Tuesday night to be ready. On Wednesday, Dean practiced with the Eagles for the first time since suffering a torn patellar tendon in his knee during the Wild Card Round win over the Packers.

"I knew I was going to be back. I knew how my body felt. I've been cleared for a good bit now, so I didn't feel like I was apart from the team," said Dean when asked on Wednesday about attending every practice this season. "I feel like I'm still on the team and I didn't want to miss a beat. I literally did everything with the team other than practice and play. That was it."

The fourth-year linebacker calls himself an "optimistic realist." He focused on what he could control during the rehab process. He used the time on the sideline to gain a deeper understanding of Vic Fangio's defense from a mental standpoint.

"Knowing the defense more, being in the second year of the same defense, you get a little bit more detailed, a little bit more intricate in the scheme of things," Dean said.

Fangio raved on Tuesday about getting Dean back on the practice field.

"He played great last year. Besides being the signal-caller guy and being a leader, you can't be a leader if you don't play good and he played great for us last year," Fangio said. "As far as where he is at now, either this week or next week, he'll start his practice window and then we'll see where he is at."

Dean was officially limited on Wednesday.

Every Eagle on the active roster participated in practice except for tight end Dallas Goedert, who was sidelined with a knee injury. Goedert missed the Week 2 game in Kansas City due to a knee injury, but it is unknown whether it's related. Goedert had four catches for 37 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's win over the Buccaneers.

Tackle Lane Johnson, who exited the Tampa Bay win with a shoulder injury, was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice. Cornerback Adoree' Jackson missed the Buccaneers game with a groin injury. He, too, was limited on Wednesday.

Broncos Injury Report

The only Bronco not to practice on Wednesday was tight end Nate Adkins (concussion). Adkins had two catches for 5 yards in last week's win over the Bengals.

Outside linebacker Jonah Elliss (thumb) and wide receiver Marvin Mims Jr. (hip/ankles) were both limited participants. Outside linebacker Nik Bonitto (wrist) and former Eagles inside linebacker Alex Singleton (thumb) both practiced fully.
