2025 Annual Report

The Philadelphia Eagles sustainability journey began in 2003 with the opening of Lincoln Financial Field. Since then, the team's Go Green initiative has grown into a company-wide, internationally recognized sustainability program that works year-round to reduce the organization's environmental footprint.

WHAT WE'RE ABOUT

LEED Platinum Status

LEED Platinum Status

Lincoln Financial Field has been certified as a LEED Platinum stadium for implementing practical and measurable strategies and solutions aimed at achieving high performance in sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection, and indoor environmental quality

GBAC Star Accreditation

GBAC Star Accreditation

Lincoln Financial Field is a Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accredited building. Under the guidance of GBAC, a Division of ISSA, the worldwide cleaning industry association, Lincoln Financial Field has implemented stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention.

Green Energy Production

Green Energy Production

With the help of NRG, Lincoln Financial Field is home to over 10,000 solar panels, producing approximately four megawatts (4,000 kw) of clean energy each year. The solar array provides around 40% of the stadium's annual energy usage and has generated over 32 gWh (32,000,000 kWh) since its installation in 2013.

Closed-Loop Recycling

Closed-Loop Recycling

As a recycling partner, Braskem developed a closed-loop recycling program for bottle caps and other plastic products utilized at Lincoln Financial Field, including repurposing items into plastic bikes for Eagles Autism Challenge, replica Lombardi trophies for fans to enjoy on game days, and park benches that are donated to Eagles park clean-ups in the Philadelphia region.

With the help of partners and fans, the Philadelphia Eagles have been able to develop a multi-operational action plan that incorporates green energy production, recycling and composting, reforestation, ocean conservation, emission reduction, and energy efficiency.
The Eagles, who wear the color "green" with pride, are committed to serving as proud environmental stewards for the community that gives so much to them throughout the year.

DID YOU KNOW?

Water Conservation

Since 2015, the Eagles have eliminated the use of more than one million plastic water bottles with the installation of water filtration fountains at the team's facilities. In addition, the installation of simultaneous flush urinals throughout Lincoln Financial Field saves more than 5,000 gallons of water per event during the season.

Birds Supporting Birds

New in 2025, the Eagles and National Marine Sanctuary Foundation teamed up to support the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Association's Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary Shearwater Tagging Project, a research initiative dedicated to studying great shearwater seabirds and their migration across the Gulf of Maine ecosystem.

Reforestation

As part of the team's multi-year sustainability partnership with West Pharmaceuticals, 30 trees are planted for every successful field goal made by the Eagles each season through the "West Field Goal Forest" program. Since 2023, over 2,400 trees have been planted at various sites throughout the United States.
