The Eagles have another coaching position to fill.

On Tuesday, the Arizona Cardinals officially announced that they have hired former Eagles Linebackers Coach Nick Rallis as their defensive coordinator under new Head Coach Jonathan Gannon.

The Eagles will now look to replace Rallis' role as linebackers coach in addition to Gannon's defensive coordinator spot and Shane Steichen's offensive coordinator post. Steichen was named the new head coach of the Indianapolis Colts last week.

Rallis was the league's youngest position coach when he joined Nick Sirianni's staff in 2021. It's been a meteoric rise for Rallis, who first broke into the coaching ranks as a quality control coach with Wake Forest in 2017 before spending three seasons with the Minnesota Vikings as their defensive quality control/assistant linebackers coach.

Over the past two seasons, T.J. Edwards ranked seventh with 284 total tackles, including 159 in 2022, which were the second most in franchise history. Kyzir White joined the Eagles in the 2022 offseason via free agency and posted 110 tackles, good for second on the team, along with a career-high 1.5 sacks.

Rallis' group helped the Eagles finish first in pass defense, second in total defense, and eighth in points allowed. The Eagles also finished third in turnover differential thanks to 27 takeaways.

Rallis is a native of Edina, Minnesota and played linebacker at the University of Minnesota from 2012-16.
