Quarterbacks must be cool under pressure, especially in a two-minute drill to either win or send the game into overtime. However, staying cool can be a difficult task in extreme heat. In Nashville on Sunday, Eagles and Titans players faced harsh conditions as the temperature on the turf was measured at over 150 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

"I'm not one to harbor on the elements, but it was a challenge for us as a unit collectively and I'm happy with how we weathered through that," Jalen Hurts said after the game.

The biggest obstacle for the Eagles' offense came with 1:56 left in the fourth quarter. Joey Slye had just kicked a 32-yard field goal to give the Titans a 20-17 lead. Worse, the points came off the back of Hurts' second interception of the game. DeVonta Smith was open downfield, but Tennessee's superstar defensive tackle, Jeffrey Simmons, hit Hurts on the pass, forcing an underthrow.

Hurts' first pass attempt of the drive was incomplete, but then the offense started rolling.

• 1:52 seconds left: six-yard completion to Devonta Smith on an out route, stopping the clock.

• 1:48 seconds left: Hurts finds Dontayvion Wicks 20 yards downfield who leaps up for a contested catch over Marcus Harris at the TEN 41. The Eagles are now in Tennessee territory.

• 1:20 seconds left: Hurts throws a third-straight completion to Smith for 9 yards to the TEN 32.

• 0:56 seconds left: Hurts finds Smith again for six yards, converting the third-down and stopping the clock as Smith went out of bounds.

"Same approach at the end of the game was the same approach going throughout the game," Hurts said on his mentality entering the final drive. "Just having great focus, great focus and poise coming in and being able to maintain that throughout the game, that's what it came down to. So, it was great execution, great mentality, great focus, and a great sense of togetherness and being able to persevere."

After a throwaway and a scramble for 4 yards, the Eagles were at the Titans' 22 with 20 seconds left to play. They could kick a field goal to tie the game if all else failed.

Hurts and Smith had other plans.

"He didn't flinch," Smith said of his quarterback. "We had some mistakes out there, things that we could have been better at, but at the end of the day he didn't flinch. When we needed it, (Hurts) drove us right down there."

On third-and-6, Hurts found the veteran receiver left for 19 yards on a post route. Smith kept both feet in bounds at the Tennessee 3-yard line with 14 seconds left.

The next play, the Eagles put the ball back in Hurts' hands. Rolling right, Hurts threw across his body to a wide-open Darius Cooper near the back of the end zone. With nine seconds left, it was Eagles 24, Titans 20.

"When you talk about those moments, end of the game, two-minute drives and game-winning drives, you don't think about the moment itself. You think about what led you to that moment," Hurts said. "Talking through tape, breaking things down, getting on the same page, just the chemistry and trying to build that, the effort to build that chemistry is very important for moments like this. So great job by Cooper, great job by Smitty battling and just way to find a way to win."

One of the most important plays of the game was the throwaway by Hurts while he was being pressured by Titans edge rusher Jacob Martin. There was less than 50 seconds left – a sack on a first down would have kept the clock running on the edge of field goal territory with no timeouts.

"(Just) playing ball situationally, my feel on the field, just being in the moment and trying to do the right thing with the ball, trying to make the best play with the ball," Hurts said of the moment. "I'd say that's obviously a very important play in the game."

Even with two interceptions earlier in the game, Hurts was able to keep his mind in the now and deliver the game-winning drive for the Eagles, advancing the team to 2-0 on the season. When asked about how he stayed so calm with the game on the line, Hurts gave credit to his teammates.

"It takes all 11 out there on the field. And as a leader, as a captain, that's something that I take a ton of pride in and how I'm showing up for the guys around me. I don't even think words can describe how much you've got to manage as a quarterback in this league from a responsibility standpoint and the weight that comes with the position and the responsibility," Hurts said.

"Ultimately, you've got to keep the main thing the main thing."
