To Hit Or Not To Hit ...

Head coach Andy Reid said he's pleased with what he's seen through three practices.

Rookies and selected veterans are taking full advantage of the extra reps afforded to them during this three-day, five-practice prelude to the real training camp.

The practices have been especially beneficial for players returning from injuries, including offensive linemen Stacy Andrews, Max Jean-Gilles, receiver Kevin Curtis and tight end Cornelius Ingram.

When asked whether he believes Andrews will be ready for full-team work when the pads go on Friday, Reid says he'll "play it by ear."

"I'm not going to force anything," Reid said. "If he doesn't feel like he's comfortable being in a team activity at that time, then we won't do that. We'll just gradually bring him along."

In fact, that applies to all four players.

"We have a lot of trust that they're going to shoot you straight," Reid said. "We know they all want to be out there practicing. But at the same time, they'll shoot you straight."
