Saints vs. Eagles injury report

Defensive end Derek Barnett

Starting defensive end Derek Barnett was added to the injury report on Friday. He is questionable for Sunday's game against the Saints with a neck injury.

"We're still working through all the information on that," Head Coach Nick Sirianni said after Friday's practice. "Again, he's questionable right now. So, you can take that for how that is."

Center/guard Jack Anderson is out for the Eagles due to a hamstring injury.

Anderson and Barnett were the only Eagles who did not practice on Friday.

Linebacker Davion Taylor told reporters that he expects to play despite a knee injury. He is officially questionable, although he was a full participant in Friday's practice.

Every other Eagle practiced fully. Tight end Dallas Goedert, who signed a four-year contract extension on Friday, has to be cleared by an independent neurologist since he is in the concussion protocol.

"We're expecting him to play Sunday," Head Coach Nick Sirianni said of Goedert.

As for running back Miles Sanders, who is on Injured Reserve with an ankle/foot injury, Sirianni said that Sanders had two good days of practice (the team held a walkthrough on Wednesday) but will wait until Saturday to decide whether or not to activate him. The Eagles would have to make a corresponding roster move to add Sanders back to the active roster.

RB Alvin Kamara, both starting tackles are out for Sunday

Quarterback Trevor Siemian will not have his top running back nor the two starting offensive tackles to help take the pressure off of him on Sunday.

Running back Alvin Kamara and Pro Bowl tackles Terron Armstead and Ryan Ramczyk were among the six Saints ruled out for the game. Kamara will miss a second straight game due to a knee injury. Armstead has been sidelined due to knee and shoulder injuries, while Ramczyk is out with a knee injury.

Mark Ingram will start and be the lead ball carrier for the Saints. Landon Young and James Hurst are expected to start at the tackle position.

Backup quarterback Taysom Hill (foot) practiced for the first time this week on Friday. He is questionable for the game.

The Saints will also be without defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (ankle), wide receiver Ty Montgomery (hand), and defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (knee).

Every Eagle on the active roster practiced in some capacity on Thursday, a great sign for Sunday's game against the Saints.

Limited Participation

C/G Jack Anderson (Hamstring) – Anderson was added to the injury report on Thursday.

• TE Dallas Goedert (Concussion) – Goedert did not practice on Wednesday, so this is a positive. Goedert will need to be cleared by an independent neurologist in order to be eligible to play Sunday.

• LB Davion Taylor (Knee) – Taylor told reporters on Thursday that he suffered a bone bruise, but played through it. He expects to play Sunday.

Everyone else was a full participant. Running back Miles Sanders is not included in the injury report since he's on Injured Reserve. Head Coach Nick Sirianni will provide an update at his press conference on Friday.

Saints RB Alvin Kamara downgraded on Thursday

Running back Alvin Kamara did not participate in Thursday's practice due to a knee injury that kept him out of last week's loss to the Titans. Kamara was a limited participant on Wednesday.

Kamara was one of seven Saints who did not practice on Thursday along with tackle Terron Armstead (knee/shoulder), quarterback Taysom Hill (foot), defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (ankle), wide receiver Ty Montgomery (hand), tackle Ryan Ramczyk (knee), and defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (knee).

The Eagles held a walkthrough on Wednesday as the preparation for Sunday's showdown with the New Orleans Saints is underway. Head Coach Nick Sirianni chose to host a walkthrough instead of a full practice to help preserve the players' health in the final weeks of the regular season.

If the Eagles conducted a full practice, this would have been the injury report:

Did Not Participate

• DT Fletcher Cox (Rest)

• TE Dallas Goedert (Concussion) – Goedert suffered the injury in Sunday's win over the Broncos. He would need to be cleared by an independent neurologist before being eligible to play Sunday.

• LB Davion Taylor (Knee) – Taylor played 40 snaps on Sunday and was on the field for the Eagles' final defensive play late in the fourth quarter.

Limited Participation

• LB Shaun Bradley (Shoulder)

• DT Javon Hargrave (Shoulder)

• T Lane Johnson (Rest)

• C Jason Kelce (Rest)

• S Rodney McLeod (Knee)

Full Participation

• RB Jordan Howard (Ankle)

• WR DeVonta Smith (Elbow)

Saints Injury Report: Alvin Kamara returns in limited capacity, both starting tackles sidelined

Running back Alvin Kamara, a Pro Bowl selection in each of his first four seasons, was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday. He missed last Sunday's game against the Titans due to a knee injury. Kamara's availability for Sunday dramatically alters the game plans for both the Saints' offense and the Eagles' defense.

Whether Kamara returns or not, the protection for him up front will certainly not be 100 percent. Pro Bowl left tackle Terron Armstead (knee/shoulder) and All-Pro right tackle Ryan Ramczyk (knee) did not practice on Wednesday. Starting left guard Andrus Peat is already on Injured Reserve.

Four other Saints did not practice Wednesday – quarterback Taysom Hill (foot), defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon (ankle), wide receiver Ty Montgomery (hand), and defensive tackle Malcolm Roach (knee).
