Report: Eagles Work Out TCU QB Dalton

Adam Caplan reported on Monday that the Eagles worked out Texas Christian quarterback Andy Dalton last week. This is off the heels of another report that the Eagles previously worked out Nevada quarterback Colin Kaepernick. Both quarterbacks are expected to be selected on the second day (Rounds 2 and 3) of the upcoming NFL Draft.

The 6-2, 213-pound Dalton led the Horned Frogs to a 25-1 record over the past two seasons which included a perfect 13-0 record this past year. Even though TCU didn't qualify for the BCS National Championship, Dalton led TCU to a 21-19 win over Big Ten champion Wisconsin in the Rose Bowl. The only loss over the past two seasons was at the hands of undefeated Boise State in the 2010 Fiesta Bowl.

Over the past two years, Dalton proved he could be a very good quarterback in a West Coast offense. Last season, he completed 66.1 percent of his passes for 2,857 yards and threw 27 touchdowns against just six interceptions. In fact, Dalton's touchdown-to-interception ratio over the past two years is 50-14.

For his college career, the four-year starter played in 50 games, completed 61.7 percent of his passes for 10,314 yards with 71 touchdowns against 30 interceptions.
