The Eagles are 3-0 for the first time since 2016 after their 24-8 victory against the Washington Commanders. Here's a Victory Monday edition of Morning Roundup, presented by DraftKings, of all the storylines from the Sunday matinee.

1. It was a glorious Sunday as Eagles dominate Commanders on 'home' turf

In front of a sold-out "home" crowd at FedEx Field on Sunday, the Eagles used a knockout combination of a relentless pass rush and a big-play offense to drub the Washington Commanders with 24 first-half points on the way to a 24-8 win that opened the NFC East portion of the 2022 regular season.

"You start early and it just gets going and everybody wants in on the fun," Haason Reddick said. "It wasn't a whole lot more than us beating our man and winning our battles, and then it became contagious. We were all having so much fun."

"Everybody wanted to eat. We had the mindset that we wanted to get after Carson because he likes to keep a play alive and extend things, so you just keep after it on every play. Keep pushing and know the play isn't dead. Our back end is covering great and that helps. We felt like we dominated," said Brandon Graham.

2. Defense recorded 9 sacks and held Washington to just 6 points

3. 'For real, it felt like a home game'

They started pouring into FedEx Field hours before the 1 PM kickoff dressed in their Sunday best: Midnight Green jerseys and T-shirts and hats, bringing full-throttled energy and passion and love for the Philadelphia Eagles.

"I noticed it in the pre-game. I'm out there going, 'Man, I don't see much burgundy colors here. Where are the Washington fans?' It was a home game," linebacker Haason Reddick said. "No doubt. When we were on the field, it was loud, man. Definitely way more of our fans than their fans. It wasn't even close."

4. DeVonta Smith had career-best performance in Commanding win

Smith prepares himself to be in a position where he can beat any defender, anytime and anywhere. That's the work ethic and mindset of a star wide receiver, so even if it looks like he's covered, or if it may seem like a catch can't be made, Smith loves to prove otherwise. Sunday, in a 24-8 win over Washington, Smith did prove otherwise.

5. Win No. 3 came against a contentious and anticipated game against NFC East rival

The Eagles took down the Carson Wentz-led Commanders in stride to record their third consecutive win.

But quarterback Jalen Hurts says it didn't matter what colors the team he lined up across from wore. He aimed to lead his team to a win with the same focused determination.

"It's very good for us to come in here, Week 3, and get another win, regardless of the opponent. It's a faceless opponent to me," he said.

The Eagles finished the game with 400 total yards – 340 of which were through the air from Hurts. He finished the game with 22-of-35 passing and three touchdowns. His first-half performance was one of the best there's been from an Eagles quarterback in the past decade. He had 279 of those 340 yards and all three scoring passes in just two quarters.
