Eagles at Commanders Injury Report

Outside linebacker Nolan Smith inches toward a return after missing the Cowboys game.

The Eagles held a walkthrough on Wednesday in their return to the practice field ahead of Sunday night's prime-time showdown with the Washington Commanders.

With Wednesday's practice report only an estimation, the Eagles would have been without running back Saquon Barkley (hamstring/back), linebacker Jihaad Campbell (hamstring/quad), wide receiver/punt returner Britain Covey (knee), cornerback Jonathan Jones (hamstring), wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring), and wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (ankle).

Good news for the Eagles is that outside linebacker Nolan Smith would have returned to the practice field for the first time since suffering a concussion against the Carolina Panthers in Week 6. Defensive back Michael Carter would also have returned to practice in a limited capacity, as he's been sidelined for the past two games with an abdominal injury.

Commanders Head Coach Dan Quinn told reporters that defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw will likely not be able to play Sunday night against the Eagles due to a knee injury.

Coming off the bye week, backup quarterback Marcus Mariota (knee) is on track to return to the lineup.

Wide receiver Terry McLaurin is on Injured Reserve with a knee injury. The Commanders signed veteran wide receiver Van Jefferson from the practice squad to take McLaurin's roster spot.

McLaurin is one of several Commanders who have landed on Injured Reserve since the Week 1 meeting between the teams, including linebacker Leo Chenal, running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, outside linebacker Javontae Jean-Baptiste, and wide receiver Jaylin Lane.
