With football season on the horizon, the newest batch of Madden NFL launch ratings are here. The Eagles enter Madden NFL 24 as the second-highest-ranked team in the game, coming in at 91 overall. This is a significant jump for the Eagles, who were rated 86 overall at the time of the Madden NFL 23 launch last year. The Eagles are the only team in the NFC to have an overall rating of 90 or higher.

Player Rating
Lane Johnson 98
Darius Slay 92
Jason Kelce 92
A.J. Brown 91
Haason Reddick 90
Dallas Goedert 89
Jalen Hurts 88
DeVonta Smith 87
Jordan Mailata 87
James Bradberry 85

At 98 overall, Lane Johnson is the highest-rated Eagles player in this year's game. This rating puts him first among all tackles and makes him the only right tackle with an overall rating in the 90s. Johnson was also the highest-rated Eagle when Madden NFL 23 launched, joining Darius Slay with a 92 overall rating. There are four more Eagles with a 90-plus rating: Darius Slay (92 OVR), Jason Kelce (92 OVR), A.J. Brown (91 OVR), and Haason Reddick (90 OVR).

Darius Slay ranks as the highest-rated cornerback in the NFC East and the second-highest cornerback in the NFC. Slay has been a top-10 ranked cornerback for the last three versions of EA Sports Madden NFL. To no surprise in Philadelphia, Jason Kelce is touted as the best center in Madden NFL 24. Kelce joins Johnson as the two offensive linemen on the Eagles with an overall above 90. Thanks to a stellar 1,496 yards receiving season, A.J. Brown jumps into the 90s after starting last year's game with an 87 overall. Brown is in the top 10 of wide receivers in the game and is the second-highest-rated wideout in the division. After six strong seasons in the NFL, Haason Reddick has earned the highest Madden rating of his career. Reddick can put last year's rating of 82 overall in the rear-view mirror.

A notable omission to the Eagles' 90 overall club was Jalen Hurts. While 88 might seem low to Eagles fans and Madden users, it is a major jump from his 74 overall in Madden NFL 23. The NFL MVP runner-up received ratings boosts throughout last year's game. Hurts is the fifth-highest-rated quarterback in this year's game and is the highest-rated quarterback in the NFC. Hurts joins offensive mainstays Dallas Goedert (89 OVR), DeVonta Smith (87 OVR), and Jordan Mailata (87 OVR) in the high-80s.

The Eagles brought in many notable players via trade and free agency this offseason. The two newest additions to the running backs room are the Eagles' highest-rated players at that position. D'Andre Swift's rating of 81 overall is an improvement on his rating of 80 in Madden NFL 23. Rashaad Penny is not far behind Swift with a 79 overall rating. Both running backs were given 91 speed and 92 acceleration. Former first-round selection Terrell Edmunds is the highest-rated Eagles' safety at 78 overall after joining the team in free agency. Another addition to the secondary, Greedy Williams, has a 73 rating.

Seven Eagles' 2023 NFL Draft picks will make their Madden NFL debuts in this year's game. Ninth overall pick, Jalen Carter, earned a 79, and 30th overall pick, Nolan Smith, earned a 73. Carter enters the game as the second-highest-rated newcomer from the 2023 draft class. Kelee Ringo and Sydney Brown are rated 72 overall and will bring competition and depth to the secondary.

With a Super Bowl LVII appearance last season, the Eagles are set for a big year in Madden NFL 24. You can play with the Eagles or your favorite players once the game is released to the general public on August 15th.
