Jordan Davis is the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week after his game-winning blocked field goal against the Rams.
With the Eagles leading by one and just three seconds remaining, Davis swatted Joshua Karty's 44-yard attempt at the line of scrimmage, picked up the ball, and returned it 61 yards for a touchdown.
It was an iconic moment at Lincoln Financial Field as the Eagles erased a 19-point deficit to remain undefeated. In Year 4, Davis is having his best season in the NFL.
"I think it's just a good example of a guy continuing to work, continuing to get better because he should be playing better football now than he was when he first entered the NFL," Head Coach Nick Sirianni said. "He's put a lot of work into it and played in a lot of meaningful games and went against really good players in practice."
Davis becomes the first Eagle to win Special Teams Player of the Week since Jake Elliott in Week 12 of 2023. He is the first Eagles defensive player to win the award since Zech McPhearson in Week 1 of 2022.
Davis was also named the NFL Way to Play Award recipient in Week 3. The NFL Foundation will give a $5,000 equipment grant through USA Football to a youth or high school football program of Davis' choice. — Written by Matt Ryan
