Running back Ja'Quinden Jackson suffered an injury while making a tackle on Patriots returner Lan Larison on the game's opening kickoff Saturday night in New England.

Jackson gave a thumbs-up as he was placed into an ambulance on the field before being taken to a local hospital. The team announced at the time that Jackson had strength and movement in all extremities. Jackson is returning to Philadelphia with the team early Sunday morning.

Immediately following the game, Head Coach Nick Sirianni said that while he had not yet spoken with the medical team, "it sounds like everything is progressing."

"That's always rough to see that," Sirianni added. "I know our guys care about each other and so that's tough. That's tough. ... I'm glad he's doing OK."

The 24-year-old Jackson signed with the Eagles on August 10. A rookie free agent signing of the Jaguars last season, Jackson spent his entire rookie campaign on Jacksonville's practice squad.

A former first-team all-state and All-American quarterback at Duncanville (Texas) High School, Jackson transitioned to running back while at Utah and finished his college career at Arkansas. He scored 15 rushing touchdowns in his lone season with the Razorbacks, earning second-team All-SEC honors.
