Entering his seventh NFL season, quarterback Jalen Hurts' mindset is simple.

"I always want to do whatever it takes to win," he said on Wednesday at the Jefferson Health Training Complex after the Eagles' OTA practice.

Hurts has guided the Eagles to five straight playoff appearances, winning two NFC titles and a Super Bowl in that span. Individually, Hurts has been recognized as a Pro Bowl player three times, including last season, and earned MVP honors of Super Bowl LIX.

Hurts, however, aspires for more. Remains as hungry as ever.

"I do really want to become an expert at the (quarterback) position and I want to grow within the position," he said.

This week marked the start of Phase 3 of the Eagles' offseason program where the team can conduct organized team activity, or OTAs. No live contact is permitted, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7, and 11-on-11 drills are allowed.

He enters 2026 learning a new version of the Eagles' offense under the guidance of first-year Offensive Coordinator Sean Mannion, who said last week that he plans to work with the rest of the offensive staff to blend what's been successful for the Eagles in the past with what he's learned in nine seasons as a quarterback and two more in the coaching ranks.

"It's been a really good process so far," Hurts said of collaborating with Mannion. "He's come in and he's very clear, given good direction. You can definitely see the vision. Been able to answer all of my questions. Very instructive, very helpful. So it's been a very enjoyable journey so far."

The Eagles entered Phase 3 of the offseason program this week, which means that the offense can line up against the defense in non-contact drills for the first time this spring during these OTA practices. New plays are installed on a daily basis. Hurts and Mannion are working on the foundation of the offense, which will develop and evolve throughout the rest of the spring and into the summer, when the players reconvene for Training Camp.

How will Hurts look in this blended offense? How different will it be than what fans have seen in recent years? Time will tell. But he's embraced this offseason of change.

"I got a lot of good trust in where we are right now to be hopeful of what's to come," Hurts said.
