Roster Moves 2025 Site

The Eagles might be on the Bye Week, but the team continues to manage the roster with Tuesday's trade deadline fast approaching.

On Saturday afternoon, the team announced that it has placed safety Marcus Epps (undisclosed) and outside linebacker Azeez Ojulari (hamstring) on Injured Reserve. They will miss at least the next four games.

Epps rejoined the Eagles at the start of the 2025 season after the Patriots released him following the end of Training Camp. Epps started the season on the practice squad and was elevated for the first three games of the season before the Eagles signed him to the active roster on September 24.

In eight games, Epps contributed four tackles in 15 defensive snaps. He also has two special teams tackles in 105 special teams snaps. His most extensive playing time on defense came in the Week 8 win over the Giants.

The Eagles have Reed Blankenship, Sydney Brown, and Andrew Mukuba on the active roster as full-time safeties, with Andre Sam on the practice squad. There are also players like the recently acquired Michael Carter II, who have corner-safety versatility if needed.

Ojulari suffered a hamstring injury in the Week 7 victory in Minnesota. Signed by the Eagles in free agency, Ojulari has played in three games (two starts) and registered six tackles in 67 defensive snaps. After being inactive for the first four games of the season, Ojulari posted three tackles in 34 snaps against Denver, then started the Thursday night game against his former team, the Giants, before starting again in Minnesota.

The Eagles have some reinforcements coming at edge rusher in the form of defensive end Brandon Graham, who is set to make his season debut next Monday night in Green Bay, and Nolan Smith is eligible to begin practicing when he is ready to return from the triceps injury that put him on Injured Reserve.

Philadelphia also has Jalyx Hunt, Patrick Johnson, and Joshua Uche coming off the edge, not counting rookie Jihaad Campbell, who has mixed in at both off-ball and off-the-edge linebacker.
