9:54 AM: Outside linebacker Joshua Uche is returning to a familiar place this Sunday, when he will play in Kansas City against his former team.
Uche was traded from the Patriots to the Chiefs in the middle of last season, and while he's approaching Week 2 as just the next game on the schedule, he knows there's another layer.
"Treat every game like it's your last game, but obviously being there, knowing those guys, and things like that, adds a different element to it," Uche said. "It's exciting, man. Definitely excited to get back to Arrowhead in a different capacity."
Uche played in six games for Kansas City and was a healthy scratch in Super Bowl LIX, but he had a strong Eagles debut in Week 1 against the Cowboys. Uche had three quarterback pressures, according to Next Gen Stats, including two in the final minutes of the game, as the Eagles' defense made a stand to close the game.
It was Uche's first official taste of being an Eagle, and he's looking to continue his strong start against his former team.
"It felt good to be a part of the (Eagles') organization, man," he said. "I know camp is one thing, OTAs (Organized Team Activities) is another thing, but like, the season actually starting and being able to help the team win felt good." — Matt Ryan

5:42 PM: Saquon Barkley had one of the most prolific rushing seasons of all time in 2024, setting the NFL record for most rushing yards in the regular season and playoffs combined. Barkley had 11 100+ yard rushing games in the regular season and eclipsed the 100-yard mark in the first three postseason contests, but the Chiefs held him to 57 rushing yards, his second-lowest total of the season, in Super Bowl LIX.
Kansas City boasts a stout run defense, and as Barkley prepares to face the Chiefs in Week 2, he knows the difficulties they present.
"Same thing that I knew going into the Super Bowl, and definitely what I experienced in the Super Bowl, they're really good," Barkley said. "They're really good. For me, I look forward to it. It's going to be a challenge.
"But there's things running backs can do to set up blocks. You can tell, watch film, with guys who aren't disciplined, and I can manipulate them. If I'm able to manipulate them and with the offensive line that we have, we put a lot of teams in trouble. They don't really do that. It forces me to be disciplined, take what they give me, not only in the running game, but just in the offense in general."

5:00 AM: All-Pro KaVontae Turpin has proven himself as one of the most dangerous returners in the NFL, but the Eagles held him in check in the opener against the Cowboys. A big part of that was punter Braden Mann not giving him a single return opportunity on three punts, including pinning two inside the Dallas 20-yard line.
Mann's performance ranked No. 1 in punter expected points added at nearly half a point.
Head Coach Nick Sirianni praised Special Teams Coordinator Michael Clay's unit in his post-game speech, and Clay showed love to Mann on Tuesday.
"I think Braden is probably one of the more hardworking guys I've ever been around," Clay said. "He's probably the most perfectionist that I've ever been around as well.
"He's going out there and if he doesn't feel right, he will spend another 40 minutes out there with [Special Teams Assistant] Tyler [Brown] working on his craft and just understanding what's the game plan for us, how is he going to accomplish that, and he goes out there and he does a great job for us. I can't say enough good things about Braden Mann as a player and as a person."

12:56 PM: Defensive Coordinator Vic Fangio said he expects cornerback Adoree' Jackson to start on Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Jackson started in Week 1 against the Cowboys and gave up some big plays early before settling in.
Jackson missed some time in the middle of the game being evaluated for a concussion and Jakorian Bennett, who the Eagles traded for at the beginning of August, played seven defensive snaps. Fangio said on Tuesday that those limited snaps weren't enough for him to draw any conclusions on Bennett.
Fangio also added that his preference is to keep Cooper DeJean in the slot on nickel packages and not move him outside alongside Quinyon Mitchell. – Matt Ryan

11:52 AM: Saquon Barkley and Jalen Hurts are No. 1 and 2, respectively, in NFL jersey sales from March 1 to July 31, according to the NFLPA, based on information provided by Fanatics.
The two stars are coming off terrific seasons that ended in a Super Bowl victory, but they're not the only Eagles on the list. Cooper DeJean (No. 6), A.J. Brown (No. 39), DeVonta Smith (No. 41), and Jalen Carter (No. 48) give the Eagles a league-leading six players in the top 50. — Matt Ryan
