The Eagles added a wealth of experience to the quarterback room on Monday, acquiring Andy Dalton in a trade with the Carolina Panthers. The Eagles will give the Panthers a 2027 seventh-round draft pick in return.
The 38-year-old Dalton comes to Philadelphia to contribute to a position group that features Jalen Hurts and Tanner McKee. In his 15 NFL seasons, Dalton is 26th in NFL history (7th among active players) with 39,373 passing yards and tied for 27th (9th among active players) with 254 touchdowns while starting 169 regular-season games.
He's served as a trusted mentor in Carolina for the past three seasons to Bryce Young, who was selected No. 1 overall by the Panthers in 2022. Dalton made seven starts in three seasons with the Panthers. In 2025, Dalton appeared in four games (one start) and completed 67.6 percent of his pass attempts for 293 yards with a touchdown and an interception.
