The Philadelphia Eagles report to the NovaCare Complex for the start of 2025 Training Camp, presented by Independence Blue Cross, on Tuesday, July 22. PhiladelphiaEagles.com will get you ready by previewing the top storylines at each position. Today, a look at the tight end position, featuring one of the league's most productive players in Dallas Goedert.

Did You Know?

Dallas Goedert holds the Eagles' all-time postseason record for receptions with 52 and his 215 receiving yards in the 2024 playoff run were the most by a tight end in franchise history.

Returning Starter

The Eagles set an NFL record for most points scored in a playoff run with 145 on the way to Super Bowl LIX and Dallas Goedert was on the field for all four games, playing 88 percent of the snaps on offense and hauling in 17 catches for 215 yards and a touchdown. That touchdown came on a triple stiff-arm of Packers cornerback Carrington Valentine in the Wild Card Round, highlighting what Goedert (6-5, 256 pounds) can do with the ball in his hands.

Entering his eighth NFL season, the 30-year-old Goedert was the first draft pick following the Super Bowl LII victory and has been one of the most productive players at his position over that span. From an Eagles standpoint, only three tight ends have more catches, yards, and touchdowns in team history than Goedert. League-wide, Goedert ranks fifth in receiving yards per game (51.4) among tight ends since 2021 and second in yards-after-the-catch per reception (6.5).

Head Coach Nick Sirianni has said that the passing game goes through wide receivers A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith and Goedert at tight end. Goedert is a reliable threat who is dangerous with the ball in his hands and his performance in the 2022 (16 catches, 141 yards, and a touchdown) and 2024 postseasons highlight how he shines in the biggest moments.

In the Mix

Grant Calcaterra was the only other tight end, along with Goedert, to make the Eagles' initial 53-man roster in 2024. Entering his fourth season with the Eagles, Calcaterra (6-4, 240 pounds) capitalized on an expanded role last season, starting 13 of 17 regular-season games and easily surpassing his previous career highs with 24 receptions for 298 yards and a touchdown.

E.J. Jenkins is a converted college receiver who has made the transition to tight end in the NFL. At 6-6, 245 pounds, Jenkins spent time on the practice squad as a rookie free agent out of Georgia Tech in 2023, and impressed enough in Training Camp and the preseason to be a gameday elevation early in the 2024 season before earning a spot on the active roster in early December for the push to the Super Bowl. In all, Jenkins played in eight regular-season games and all four playoff contests. His first NFL catch was a touchdown in the regular-season finale against the Giants.

Nick Muse spent most of the 2024 season with the Minnesota Vikings before being waived a week after their playoff loss to the Los Angeles Rams. That worked out for the Eagles, who added the former 2022 draft pick out of South Carolina to the practice squad and then signed him to a future contract after winning the Super Bowl. The 6-5, 252-pound Muse has played in 16 regular-season games over his first years, all with Minnesota.

New to the Nest

Harrison Bryant brings experience to the tight end room, having joined the Eagles on a one-year deal in free agency. In five seasons (four with Cleveland, last year with Las Vegas), Bryant (6-5, 240 pounds) has 98 catches for 877 yards and 10 touchdowns. He has started 33 of the 78 regular-season games that he's played in.

After four years in Indianapolis, Kylen Granson signed a one-year deal with the Eagles in free agency. He had back-to-back 30-catch, 300-yard seasons in 2022-23 and has played more than 400 offensive snaps in each of the past three years. Granson (6-3, 242 pounds) has accumulated 86 receptions for 958 yards and a touchdown in 62 career games (17 starts).

A former third-round pick of the 49ers, Cameron Latu was signed to a future contract at the start of the 2025 offseason. The 6-5, 244-pound Latu grew up playing rugby in Minnesota until he moved to Utah at the age of 13. Latu spent the 2024 campaign on and off Cleveland's practice squad. At Alabama, Latu set the school record for most touchdown catches by a tight end in a single season with eight in 2021. He was a part of the 2020 National Championship Team.

Bird Call

"What drew me to the Eagles is their winning culture here, the program here, the guys in the locker room. Everything about this place just screams championships. So, I wanted to see what that locker room is like, what it's like to be at the top of the game. I wanted to challenge myself." – Kylen Granson
