Washington-Eagles Week 17 matchup flexed into prime time

The NFL's 2020 regular season will end at Lincoln Financial Field.

The NFL announced on Sunday night that the Week 17 game between the Washington Football Team and the Philadelphia Eagles has been flexed into the prime-time slot and will be played on Sunday Night Football with an 8:20 PM kickoff.

The Eagles were eliminated from playoff contention Sunday night after losing to the Cowboys, so they get to play the role of spoiler.

If the Eagles lose, Washington clinches the NFC East title.

If the Cowboys win and Eagles win, Dallas steals the NFC East.

The Giants can even win the division with a win over the Cowboys and an Eagles victory.

The Eagles are 3-1 in prime-time games this season and 2-0 on Sunday Night Football (Week 4 at San Francisco, Week 8 vs. Dallas).
