The Eagles announced on Friday that they have signed wide receiver Xavier Gipson to the practice squad. The move was made after the team placed wide receiver Danny Gray on the Practice Squad Injured Reserve list.
The 25-year-old Gipson (5-foot-9, 189 pounds) played in five games for the Eagles last season, primarily as a return specialist. A rookie free agent signing of the Jets in 2023 out of Stephen F. Austin, Gipson has also played with the Giants. He was waived by the Giants at the end of the 2026 preseason.
In 41 career games with the Jets, Giants, and Eagles, Gipson has 29 receptions for 274 yards and a touchdown. He also has another 73 rushing yards and a score. As a returner, Gipson has 1,319 kickoff return yards, 671 punt return yards, and a punt return touchdown.
A former third-round pick of the 49ers, Gray has been with the Eagles' practice squad since early in the 2024 season.
