Following Sunday's convincing 51-23 win over the Denver Broncos, Doug Pederson had plenty to impart Monday afternoon as the 8-1 Eagles get set for their bye week.

While Pederson wants the plays to stay focused, he encouraged the players and coaches to take time away from football and enjoy the downtime with family as the team prepares to make a run during the final half of the season.

"We get four or five hours on a Sunday to enjoy one (win) and then we're back in the office cranking on the next week so I want the coaches and players to enjoy and to look back and reflect on what we've accomplished so far," Pederson stated. "As great as it is we still have half a season, we still have seven ball games left. Obviously, enjoy this time this week reflect on what we've done but we've got to come back ready to go next week and if you don't take care of business from here on out then it's all for nothing."

From an injury standpoint, defensive tackle Tim Jernigan (ankle) is fine according to Pederson and could have returned to the game if needed to. Cornerback Ronald Darby underwent a sizable uptick in reps during practice last and will be around receiving treatment and rehabbing his ankle during the break.

Pederson highlighted that one of the most impressive parts of the season to this point has been the team's performance on the road, as well as their ability to rally and play through the plethora of injuries they've faced.

"When the schedule came out obviously the early road games, that was a big test for our football team because we didn't do so well last year on the road and wanted to make sure we got off to a fast start and we were able to do that, outside of the Kansas City game.

"Then really the way they've overcome the injuries-- To start the season you lose Darby in the first game and you go down the list," Pederson said. "The way they have fought through the first nine games with these injuries has been pretty amazing. Now we're getting guys healthy and kind of getting back to full strength obviously this break is at a good time for us."
