Eagles select DT Moro Ojomo with the 249th overall pick

With the 249th pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, the Eagles selected defensive tackle Moro Ojomo from the University of Texas.

Moro is Philadelphia's final selection this weekend; here's what you need to know about the 6-foot-2, 292-pound defensive tackle before he joins the rest of his draft class in Philadelphia.

1. Ojomo was born in Lagos, Nigeria

He lived there until he moved to California at age 7. His family ultimately settled in Katy, Texas when he was in 7th grade.

2. He stayed in Texas for college

Ojomo played for the Longhorns from 2018-22, using his redshirt year as a freshman.

3. Ojomo enrolled at Texas at age 16

In addition to football aptitude, Ojomo has had great educational success; he took his studies very seriously as a Longhorn. He studied business finance at Texas and hopes to pursue a career as a corporate lawyer after football.
