After swatting passes all week, Jordan Davis is getting some hardware.
Davis won NFC Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Lions, where he batted three passes at the line of scrimmage, tied for the most by a player in a game this season. Davis' first tipped pass resulted in a Cooper DeJean interception that put the Eagles on the board early in the game.
This is Davis' second weekly honor of the season after he won NFC Special Teams Player of the Week from his game-winning blocked field goal turned touchdown against the Rams. He is the first Eagle in franchise history to win Special Teams and Defensive Player of the Week in the same season.
The 6-foot-6 Davis is in the midst of the best season of his career. He has a career-high three sacks to go along with 33 tackles and 10 quarterback pressures while playing 61% of the defensive snaps.
