Foles Starts, All Three QBs Active

Nick Foles will start his first game of the season for the Eagles Sunday, as he gets the nod under center in place Michael Vick, who is working his way back to 100 percent from a hamstring injury. Interestingly, though, Vick will be active for the Eagles on Sunday, as will rookie fourth-round pick Matt Barkley.

The Eagles' seven inactives are cornerback Shaun Prater, cornerback Jordan Poyer, tackle Matt Robin, tackle Dennis Kelly, tight end Emil Igwenagu, defensive end Damion Square and tight end James Casey. This marks the first time this season that Casey will be inactive for the Eagles, as Brent Celek and rookie Zach Ertz are the two active tight ends for the Eagles.

Foles, of course, notched his first career win last season when the Eagles visited the Bucs and the then-rookie threw the game-winning 1-yard touchdown pass as time expired. He'll go for his second straight win in Tampa Bay in the Eagles' quest to get back to .500.

For the Buccaneers, starting guard Carl Nicks and wide receiver Mike Williams highlight the inactives. Also inactive for Tampa Bay are cornerback Michael Adams, defensive end William Gholston, cornerback Rashaan Melvin, guard Patrtick Omameh and defensive end Trevor Scott. Cornerback Johnthan Banks, who is one of three Buccaneers with the MRSA virus, will play and start for Tampa Bay.
