The Eagles announced on Tuesday that the team has signed tackle Xavier Truss and defensive tackle Zion Wilson to the practice squad. In corresponding moves, tight end Josiah Deguara and cornerback Shaun Wade were released from the practice squad.
T Xavier Truss
The highest-rated high school prospect in Rhode Island history, Truss played his college football at Georgia. As a Bulldog, Truss saw action on the offensive line in 66 games and won two College Football Playoff National Championships.
The 6-foot-7 tackle signed with the Denver Broncos after going undrafted in 2025, but was waived as part of final roster cuts. He was claimed off of waivers by the Saints and appeared in seven games during his rookie season. After being waived by New Orleans this preseason, Truss signed with the Browns' practice squad before being waived on October 6th.
DT Zion Wilson
An undrafted rookie out of Eastern Carolina University, Wilson signed with the Eagles before Training Camp and was waived as part of final roster cuts. Through three preseason games for the Eagles, Wilson recorded nine tackles, two tackles for loss or no gain, and four quarterback pressures. More than a month after being waived by the Eagles, the rookie defensive tackle now rejoins the team.
Wilson was expected to return to college for another year in 2026 by transferring to the University of Virginia, but the NCAA denied his eligibility waiver. The 6-foot-3, 316-pound Wilson started his career as a walk-on offensive lineman and moved to the other side of the ball in 2024. In his first and only season as a starter with Eastern Carolina, Wilson posted 42 tackles, 10 for loss, and seven sacks in 2025.

TE Josiah Deguara
A third-round pick of the Green Bay Packers out of Cincinnati in 2020, Deguara spent four years with the Packers. He signed with Jacksonville in 2024 and then Arizona in 2025. Over his seven-year career, the 6-foot-2, 238-pound tight end has recorded 53 receptions for 471 yards and three touchdowns.
Deguara was signed to the Eagles' practice squad after Week 1. The former Bearcat was elevated to the active roster against the Rams amidst injuries to the tight end room.
CB Shaun Wade
Selected by the Baltimore Ravens out of Ohio State in the fifth round of the 2020 NFL Draft, Wade was traded to the New England Patriots later that offseason. The former Buckeye spent three seasons with the Patriots, playing in 20 games and recording 26 tackles.
Wade signed with the Eagles in June and spent Training Camp and the preseason in Philadelphia. He led the entire NFL during the preseason with three forced fumbles, to go along with 18 tackles and three passes defensed. The former Buckeye was waived during the Eagles' final roster cuts, but resigned to the practice squad later in September.
After playing on the practice squad for the Chargers and Bears, Wade was drafted by the UFL's Dallas Renegades for the 2026 season. The defensive back had 24 total tackles, three interceptions, nine pass breakups, and one forced fumble through eight games for the Renegades.
