Eagles sign CB Javelin Guidry to the practice squad

Roster Moves 2022 Season 1920

The Eagles made a roster move on Monday, signing cornerback Javelin Guidry to the practice squad. To make room, the team released wide receiver Deon Cain.

Listed at 5-foot-9, 191 pounds, Guidry is a 24-year-old who has spent time with the New York Jets, Arizona Cardinals, and Las Vegas Raiders following his college career at the University of Utah.

Originally signed by the Jets as a rookie free agent following the 2020 NFL Draft, Guidry played in 28 games (five starts) in his first two seasons. He totaled 70 tackles, four forced fumbles, and three passes defensed.

He spent time following this year's Training Camp with the Cardinals and the Raiders, playing in four games for Las Vegas.

Deon Cain was the Eagles' leading receiver in the preseason with eight catches for 106 yards.
