The Eagles added another veteran piece to the secondary, agreeing to terms with cornerback Jonathan Jones on a one-year deal.
The 32-year-old Jones spent the first nine seasons of his NFL career with the New England Patriots, where he won two Super Bowls. He was with the Commanders last year, starting in seven of the 12 games he played.
At 5-foot-9, 185 pounds, Jones is the ultimate underdog story, carving out a long career after entering the league as a rookie free agent out of Auburn in 2016.
Jones has extensive experience playing both outside and the nickel positions. In his career, he's registered 477 tackles, 11 interceptions, 62 pass breakups, 10 forced fumbles, and 3.5 sacks.
