The Eagles announced their initial practice squad on Wednesday, but also made two changes to the active roster:
• Claimed G/C Willie Lampkin
• Signed LS Charley Hughlett
To make room for them on the roster, the Eagles waived guard/center Trevor Keegan and safety Tristin McCollum.
The 5-foot-11, 290-pound Lampkin was signed by the Rams as a rookie free agent following the 2025 NFL Draft out of North Carolina. The Senior Bowl participant played both guard and center for the Rams in the first two preseason games. He graded out as the top rookie offensive lineman in the preseason, according to Pro Football Focus.
Hughlett was signed by the Eagles in free agency after 10 seasons with the Cleveland Browns. He played in 155 regular-season and playoff games, also recording 27 tackles on special teams. The team captain finished his tenure in Cleveland ranked 15th in franchise history in games played.
"It's just clean. It feels the same every time. A lot of credit to him for kind of just jumping in here and kind of just making a seamless transition," kicker Jake Elliott said of Hughlett. "He's done a great job."
Keegan was a fifth-round pick of the Eagles in the 2024 NFL Draft out of Michigan, where he won a National Championship in his final season. Keegan played 35 snaps on offense in the regular-season finale last season.
McCollum played a career-high 250 snaps on defense last season for the Eagles, while starting in two contests. He also played in all four postseason contests, including Super Bowl LIX. McCollum originally joined Philadelphia as a future contract signing in 2023.
The Eagles have three open spots on the practice squad, as long as one of those spots is used on an international player.
