Braden Mann has been rewarded for arguably the best three-year stretch of punting in Eagles history.
On Friday, the Eagles and Mann agreed to terms on a four-year deal that will keep the punter in Philadelphia through 2029.
"I could talk on and on about Braden, but I think he's done an unbelievable job flipping the field and I still think he has one of the best hands in the NFL when it comes to a holding scenario," Special Teams Coordinator Michael Clay said of Mann late in the 2025 season. "But again, having to deal with a couple different long snappers due to injury, nothing really changed. You always knew that the operation with Braden out there being the holder was going to be down pat. So he's done a really, really nice job this year."
Here's an outlook at what Mann has accomplished in Philadelphia since joining the Eagles early in the 2023 regular season:
• Mann is the Eagles' all-time leading punter in both net average (42.9 yards) and gross average (49.5 yards).
• Mann's gross punting averages per season rank first (49.9 in 2025), second (49.8 in 2023), and third (48.8 in 2024) in team history.
• Mann owns the top two net average punting seasons in Eagles history (43.9 in 2023 and 43.1 in 2025). His 2024 season ranks fifth.
• Mann's punting grade of 82.3 was the fifth highest in 2025, according to Pro Football Focus.
• Mann set the single-game franchise record for best net average per punt against the Giants this past season (57.0 yards, which was 5 yards longer than the previous mark).
• Mann's season-long punt in 2025 was a 76-yarder, which tied for the second-longest punt in the NFL all year.
• According to the NFL's Next Gen Stats, Mann's average punt distance was 59.5 yards in 2025, the fifth longest in the league by any punter with at least 30 attempts.
• Mann serves as the holder for Jake Elliott. The long-time kicker surpassed 100 points in 2025 and 1,000 points for his career in 2025.
• In the Super Bowl LIX win, Mann held for Elliott, who broke the championship-game record for most points by a kicker with 15.
Mann originally entered the league as a sixth-round draft pick of the New York Jets in 2020 out of Texas A&M. Mann spent the first three seasons with the Jets before coming to Philadelphia. At Texas A&M, Mann was the recipient of the Ray Guy Award (nation's best punter), earned SEC Special Teams Player of the Year honors, and was selected as a unanimous All-American during a record-breaking college career.
