The Eagles added to their pass-rush punch Friday, agreeing to terms with veteran outside linebacker Arnold Ebiketie on a one-year deal.
The 27-year-old Ebiketie is familiar with Philadelphia, having played three seasons at Temple before transferring to Penn State for his final college season.
A second-round pick of the Atlanta Falcons in the 2022 NFL Draft, the 6-foot-2, 250-pound Ebiketie has 16.5 sacks and 130 QB pressures over his four-year NFL career. He's posted at least 29 QB pressures in each of his four NFL seasons. As a rookie in 2022, he was tied for fourth among all first-year edge rushers with 35 QB pressures, according to NFL Next Gen Stats. Of his 130 career QB pressures, 42 of them have come within 2.5 seconds of the snap of the ball.
Born in Yaoundé, Cameroon, Ebiketie emigrated with his family to the United States at 13 and settled in Silver Spring, Maryland. At Penn State, Ebiketie led the Nittany Lions with 18 tackles for loss to go with 9.5 sacks, 62 tackles, and two forced fumbles in 2021. He was a second-team All-America selection and a first-team All-Big Ten honoree.
