Don Smolenski: 'We are excited to welcome our fans home'

The City of Philadelphia announced on Tuesday that restrictions on outdoor gatherings will end as of June 11, paving the way for the Eagles to host fans once again this season at Lincoln Financial Field.

"Today's announcement by the City of Philadelphia to lift stadium capacity limits in time for the start of the 2021 NFL season is tremendous news for the Philadelphia Eagles, our fans, and the community," Eagles President Don Smolenski said. "We are excited to welcome our fans home and look forward to Lincoln Financial Field returning to form as an unrivaled home-field advantage for our team. We have always been committed to providing our fans a great gameday experience in a safe, clean and friendly environment. As we look ahead to a full stadium, we encourage our community to get vaccinated."

The Eagles worked over the last year with government agencies, public health experts, and league officials to develop enhanced health and safety protocols. As part of this work, the Eagles and Lincoln Financial Field achieved Global Biorisk Advisory Council (GBAC) STAR accreditation for implementing the most stringent protocols for cleaning, disinfection, and infectious disease prevention in an effort to provide a safe experience at the stadium.

The NFL will announce the entire 2021 regular-season schedule on Wednesday evening. Eagles fans can get an exclusive first-look here on PhiladelphiaEagles.com, the mobile app, and the team's social media channels at 7:45 PM.
