What's Happening At Eagles-Buccaneers

Here is what's going on Sunday at Lincoln Financial Field as the Eagles host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers ...

  • Sunday's game is presented by Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals. The Philadelphia Eagles continue the fight against breast cancer as Sunday is the Tackling Breast Cancer game.
  • On Sunday, volunteers from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals will be selling Eagles Tackling Breast Cancer hats, ties and scarves throughout the concourse and stadium. The co-branded Eagles and Phillies T-shirt will also be available. Proceeds from these items directly benefit the Jefferson Breast Care Center.
  • In order to raise awareness about breast cancer, the Philadelphia Eagles Cheerleaders will use pink pom-poms as the Eagles coaching staff and players use pink Gatorade towels and wear pink silhouetted hats throughout the game. Game day staff will also be wearing Eagles Tackling Breast Cancer pins.
  • HeadHouse Plaza Activities: For those in attendance at Sunday's game, the HeadHouse Plaza will feature activities prior to kickoff including a live performance from Kristen and The Noise. Gates to the HeadHouse Plaza will open at 10 a.m. A live pregame broadcast from 94 WYSP will take place in the plaza before the game. Fans can enjoy free samples from Dunkin' Donuts and Pepsi, an interactive field goal booth provided by Papa John's and a new booth to the Plaza, Best Buy's Fantasy Football Central Kiosk. At this kiosk, fans can make last minute, crucial changes to their fantasy football line-ups. The Eagles Cheerleaders will be hosting a booth where fans can purchase the 2009-10, eco-friendly swimsuit calendar. Face painting will also be available, along with displays from Temple Football, Rite Aid, Teva Pharmaceuticals and Re/Max.
  • A Silent auction benefiting the Tackling Breast Cancer campaign will also take place on the plaza beginning at 10:00 a.m. when the plaza gates open. Chainsaw artist Ben Risney will craft a custom Eagles wood sculpturefor fans to bid on. Additionally, fans may bid on an authentic jersey signed by 2009 Eagles Honor Roll inductee Randall Cunningham and an authentic helmet signed by 2009 Eagles Honor Roll inductees Randall Cunningham and Al Wistert.
  • Parking costs for lots in the sports complex are $20 for cars; $40 for oversized vehicles. Although traffic conditions near the Sports Complex have improved, with over 70,000 fans coming to the game on Sunday, there will inevitably be traffic tie-ups in the area of Lincoln Financial Field. To help alleviate this situation, the City and the Philadelphia Eagles encourage fans to carpool or take public transportation.
  • Sunday's Honorary Captains are David McQuaid, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals and Dr. Neil Flomenberg, Chair of Medical Oncology also of Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, along with Eagles receiving great *Harold Carmichael. *
  • Breast Cancer Survivors, Shellie Miller and Marsha Ominsky, will be joining the captains and officials on the field for the coin toss at Sunday's Game.
  • Sunday's Snapple Coin-Toss Kid is Cameron Effrig of Philadelphia, PA.
  • *Sunday's RE/MAX Kickoff Kid is Jaclyn Merk of Lansdale, PA. *
  • Sunday's Eagles Kids Club Biggest Fan is Jake Gratzinger, from Philadelphia, PA.
  • Sunday's National Anthem will be performed by Lauren Hart of Philadelphia, PA. Crew members of the USS Wayne E. Meyer will be presenting the colors. The Wayne E. Meyer Destroyer will be commissioned Saturday, October 10 and is currently docked at Penn's Landing.
  • Sunday's Dietz and Watson Hometown Hero is Aviation Survival Technician Second Class Lake Downham. Downham is assigned to the USCG Air Station Atlantic City. In his three years in Atlantic City, he is credited with saving nine lives and assisting in the rescue of five others. Downham's awards include the Coast Guard Achievement Medal for saving three lives from the vessel Green Eyes and three CG Commandant's Letters of Commendation.
  • Sunday's Coach of the Week is Coach Sal Marchese of Delsea High School. Currently, Delsea High School has a 4-0 record and is ranked #2 in the Inquirer South Jersey top 10. In honor of Coach Marchese, the Philadelphia Eagles will donate $1,000 to Delsea High School's athletic program.
  • Philadelphia Eagles Scratch Off Lottery Tickets: Eagles Instant Scratch Off lottery tickets are available in ticket vending machines at Lincoln Financial Field on game day. These tickets will be available for purchase in the vending machines at each of the following locations: sections 106, 122, C6, C16 and in the HeadHouse Lobby. Each ticket is $5. If a winning ticket is purchased, the cash prize may be redeemed at the Eagles Ticket Office windows in the HeadHouse Lobby. Participants must be 18 years or older to play.
  • Halftime Band: The halftime entertainment for Sunday's game will be a live performance by The Kharma Bums on the Miller Lite Phlite Deck. The Miller Lite Phlite Deck serves as the site for all halftime performances and is located on the concourse level behind section 107. It hosts 50 lucky fans who are able to watch the game from a great location while being front row for the halftime show.   • Verizon Wireless Fair Catch Challenge: At halftime of every game this season, one lucky fan will be selected at random to participate in the Fair Catch Challenge. This fan will have the chance to stand at midfield at Lincoln Financial Field, in front of 70,000 fans and attempt to catch three punts. The balls will be delivered from the Eagles punting machine in the North End Zone. If the participant catches one punt, he or she will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Pro Shop, if they are able to catch two punts, they will receive a prize from Verizon Wireless, and if the participant is able to catch all three punts, they will receive two tickets to the final home game on December 27th against the Denver Broncos.
  • Teva Pharmaceuticals Family Starting Line-ups: Each week the Eagles choose between three and five families whose lives have recently been affected by a medical condition to receive tickets to the game courtesy of Teva Pharmaceuticals. The group will have the opportunity to watch warm-ups from the sidelines and be on the field as the Eagles starters are announced. This week's families will be from the Pediatric Cancer Foundation of the Lehigh Valley, Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and Team Braveheart.
  • Teva Pharmaceuticals Community Red Zone: Each week the Eagles highlight two local charitable organizations that are making a difference in the community, courtesy of Teva Pharmaceuticals. The organizations receive exhibit space in the HeadHouse Plaza pregame so they can provide information on their services to fans, along with tickets to the game. This week's organizations are: Living Beyond Breast Cancer; and The Linda Creed Breast Cancer Foundation.
  • MADD: The Eagles team up with Mothers Against Drunk Driving to offer a Designated Driver program on game day. Fans who sign up to be a designated driver receive a wristband redeemable for a free soft drink. Visit the MADD information booth located behind section 120 or any of the Guest Services locations to sign up.
  • Gender Specific Search Lines: For the 2009 season, there is a new security search layout at every gate and entrance. Signs designate each security search line as: Male, Female, or Family. Family lines are for groups that prefer to stay together through the security process. As Guests approach the gate, they are instructed to locate and follow the signs for their designated security search line. This layout has been designed to improve the flow through security and ensure that fans get into Lincoln Financial Field in a timely manner.
  • GuestAssist is the text messaging service available to Guests at Lincoln Financial Field. A Guest may call for assistance during events by sending a text message from their cell phone. The text message is received by a stadium representative and the appropriate assistance is dispatched from the Event Command Post. By using the GuestAssist system, Guests will be able to report issues and concerns, ask for information and call for assistance in a fast, easy and convenient way. Users open a blank text message and address the message to ""78247"" and type the word ""ASSIST"" followed by a space and the issue (question, comment, concern, etc.) and location. On non-event days, Guests can contact the Guest Services Hotline at (267) 570-4400 for assistance.
