After three straight games against the AFC West, the Eagles turn their attention back to the NFC East beginning with this Sunday's showdown against the New York Giants. The Eagles are 1-0 in the division and three of their next four contests are against division rivals. Here's a look at how the rest of the NFC East fared in the first quarter of the season …
Dallas Cowboys
Record: 2-2
Results: Week 1 - 36-31 win vs. New York Giants
Week 2 - 17-16 loss at Kansas City
Week 3 - 31-7 win vs. St. Louis Rams
Week 4 - 30-21 loss at San Diego
On Sunday: Dallas surrendered the final 20 points of the game to drop a 30-21 decision to the Chargers. Quarterback Philip Rivers threw for 401 yards and three touchdowns, including a 56-yard strike to tight end Antonio Gates. The Cowboys took a 21-10 lead late in the second quarter when linebacker Sean Lee intercepted a Rivers pass and took it 52 yards to the house. Dallas made one late drive, but rookie receiver Terrance Williams fumbled the ball at the Chargers' 1-yard line and San Diego recovered to seal the win.

Standout Players: On offense, it would be wide receiver Dez Bryant. The 6-foot-2, 222-pound Bryant caught six passes for 81 yards and had two touchdowns in Sunday's loss. For the season, Bryant has 23 receptions for 282 yards and four scores. Bryant has now scored a touchdown in three straight games and he is rounding into one of the league's best all-around receivers.
Middle linebacker Sean Lee scored on the pick six Sunday, but was also credited with 18 tackles. He was responsible for the big-play touchdown to Gates, but the playmaking linebacker has been the focal point of the Dallas 'D' early in 2013.
Key Storyline So Far: Dallas had a chance to open up some breathing room in the NFC East, but let the Chargers rally for the win. The Cowboys sent a strong statement with their dominant win over the Rams, but are 2-2 following Sunday's loss.
New York Giants
Record: 0-4
Results: Week 1 - 36-31 loss at Dallas
Week 2 - 41-23 loss vs. Denver
Week 3 - 38-0 loss at Carolina
Week 4 - 31-7 loss at Kansas City
On Sunday: Was it revenge for Andy Reid's final game as head coach of the Eagles? The Kansas City Chiefs routed the Giants 31-7 as the Giants have now scored just seven points in their last two contests. It was actually a 10-7 game in the third quarter until the Giants decided not to go for it on fourth-and-inches. New York punted to Dexter McCluster, who shook and shimmied his way for an 89-yard touchdown return. Kansas City put the game away on its next drive marching 80 yards in a nine-minute, 17-second touchdown drive which ended with an Alex Smith 2-yard touchdown pass to running back Jamaal Charles.
On The Horizon: Week 5 - vs. Eagles
Week 6 - at Chicago
Week 7 - vs. Minnesota
Week 8 - at Eagles
Standout Player: The bright spot for the Giants has been wide receiver Victor Cruz, who is third in the NFL with 425 receving yards and tied for fourth with four touchdowns.
Key Storyline So Far: Following the close Week 1 loss, the Giants haven't looked competitive in the last three games. Quarterback Eli Manning has thrown three more interceptions (9) than touchdowns (6). Running back David Wilson has averaged 3.4 yards per carry. The defense ranks last in the league in points allowed.
Washington Redskins
Record: 1-3
Results: Week 1 - 33-27 loss vs. Eagles
Week 2 - 38-20 loss at Green Bay
Week 3 - 27-20 loss vs. Detroit
Week 4 - 24-14 win at Oakland
On Sunday: The Redskins got their first win of the season as they rallied from an early 14-0 deficit. Washington got to Raiders quarterback Matt Flynn, who started for the injured Terrelle Pryor, as cornerback David Amerson returned an interception 45 yards for a touchdown. Robert Griffin III connected with Pierre Garcon for a score and Roy Helu checked in for an injured Alfred Morris and scored what proved to be the game-winning touchdown.
On The Horizon: Week 5 - Bye Week
Week 6 - at Dallas
Week 7 - vs. Chicago
Week 8 - at Denver
Standout Players: As Robert Griffin III continues to work his way back from last season's ACL injury, left tackle Trent Williams has been outstanding providing protection for RGIII and opening up holes for running back Alfred Morris, who has averaged 5.3 yards per carry. Pierre Garcon is the big-play threat and leads the receivers with 29 catches for 339 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
On defense, outside linebacker Ryan Kerrigan has terrorized opposing quarterbacks with 5.0 sacks on the season.
Key Storyline So Far: Robert Griffin III's numbers have steadily improved as he looks more and more comfortable coming back from the injury. He's completed 62.4 percent of his passes for 1,202 yard with six touchdowns against four interceptions. Sunday's win keeps the Redskins in the division hunt and remember that last year the team was 3-6 before reeling off seven straight wins to take the NFC East.
