According to Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, former Cowboys linebacker Victor Butler visited with the Browns Monday, but left without a contract and is "headed to Philly" to visit with the Eagles.

Butler, 25, was a fourth-round draft choice of the Cowboys in 2009 and was a key reserve player in Dallas. Last season, he played in all 16 games and made two starts, recording 23 combined tackles and three sacks. Despite playing behind DeMarcus Ware and Anthony Spencer, the 6-2, 245-pound Butler still has 11 career sacks to his name.

The Eagles had reportedly been interested in Butler earlier in free agency.
