Redskins, Giants Both Win To Pace Division

The Eagles will need a win tonight in San Francisco to keep pace in the NFC East. The New York Giants won their second straight game with a 34-10 defeat of the Houston Texans in Houston to move to 3-2. Wide receiver Hakeem Nicks was the star for the Giants, catching 12 balls for 130 yards and two touchdowns. Meanwhile, the Washington Redskins, who are 2-0 in the NFC East after beating the Eagles last week, rallied from behind to defeat the Green Bay Packers at home 16-13. The Redskins are now 3-2 as well.

The Dallas Cowboys, meanwhile, take on the Tennessee Titans this afternoon in Dallas with a chance to move to 2-2 after their bye last week. Elsewhere, the Atlanta Falcons, the Eagles' opponent next week in Philadelphia, moved to 4-1 on the season with a 20-10 road victory in Cleveland over the Browns with running back Michael Turner rushing for an impressive 140 yards on 19 carries.

The Eagles, of course, are 2-2 heading into tonight's nationally-televised tilt against the 49ers. Tune in to PhiladelphiaEagles.com at 7:45 p.m. for our live Kickoff Show to get the latest news ahead of tonight's important contest.
