The NFL Players Association named Eagles linebacker Nakobe Dean as its Community MVP for Week 9 of the 2025 NFL season on Friday.
In recognition of Dean being named NFLPA Community MVP, the NFLPA will donate $10,000 to Dean's Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation. Along with the other Community MVPs from this season, he will also be eligible for the Alan Page Community Award, which is the NFLPA's highest player honor and includes an additional $100,000 donation.
On October 21, Dean was on hand as the Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe Foundation launched its second annual school tour, providing more than 100 free dental cleanings, screenings, and supplies to students at Julia de Burgos Elementary School.
Later that same week, Dean and Kind Hearts 4 Lyfe hosted another event at KIPP Philadelphia Preparatory Academy, where he donated 1,000 winter coats, 600 meals, 300 blood pressure and diabetes screenings, and 200 haircuts.
"I'm honored to be named an NFLPA Community MVP. Giving back affords me the opportunity to uplift others by showing that small acts of kindness can make a big difference," Dean said. "My mom (Neketta) instilled in me the priceless value of helping others, which motivates me to continuously find new ways to serve and inspire others."
Dean is the first Eagle to be recognized for his community efforts this season by the NFLPA. Five Eagles have previously won the Alan Page Community Award: Troy Vincent (2003), Brian Dawkins (2009), Malcolm Jenkins (2017), Chris Long (2018), and Rodney McLeod (2022).
