Dallas Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett addressed reporters in Dallas prior to the start of Wednesday's practice and said that quarterback Tony Romo "doesn't seem overly comfortable" with a back injury, reportedly a herniated disc.
As for Romo's status for Sunday's NFC East championship game, Garrett said that Romo is day-to-day. Romo is at the team facility getting treatment on his back. He did not participate in Wednesday's practice. Middle linebacker Sean Lee was also not at practice. Lee has been sidelined with a neck injury. In the first meeting between the Eagles and Cowboys back in October, Lee earned NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors. Also not participating in practice for Dallas was linebacker Ernie Sims, who has a groin injury.
Also on the Cowboys' injury report: wide receiver Dez Bryant (back) was limited, along witih wide receiver/kick returner Dwayne Harris (hamstring). Both are expected to play on Sunday night. Cornerback Morris Claiborne has been out since November with a hamstring injury and is epxected to play after he was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Also listed on the injury report after participating in full practice: defensive tackle Jason Hatcher (neck), linebacker DeVonte Holloman (hip), defensive end George Selvie (back), defensive end DeMarcus Ware (back) and defensive end Jarius Wynn (chest).
The Cowboys officially announced the signing of Jon Kitna, who retired after the 2011 season and was settled in as a 41-year-old high school math teacher in Tacoma, Wash. Kitna previously backed up Romo in Dallas. If Romo can't play, Kitna will be the No. 2 quarterback behind Kyle Orton.
