Friday's Injury Report

Cornerback Quinyon Mitchell has no game status ahead of Sunday's game and will play against the Vikings. He left last Thursday's game against the Giants with a hamstring injury and did not return. Mitchell was a limited participant on Wednesday but practiced fully on Thursday and Friday.

Left guard Landon Dickerson (ankle) and defensive tackle Jalen Carter (heel) are both questionable. Dickerson was a full participant on Friday, while Carter was limited on Thursday and Friday after practicing fully on Wednesday. Both players were inactive against the Giants.

Tight end Grant Calcattera (oblique) is out and will miss his second consecutive game. Linebacker Zack Baun (finger) and defensive tackle Jordan Davis (shoulder) have no injury designation for Sunday's game. Both players practiced fully all week.

Carson Wentz to start for Vikings

Carson Wentz will face his former team for the second time on Sunday. Wentz, who was drafted No. 2 overall by the Eagles in 2016, is set to start his fourth consecutive game with J.J. McCarthy dealing with a high ankle sprain. Wentz is 2-1 on the season with five touchdown passes and two interceptions.

Outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel, who has two sacks this season, has been ruled out with a neck injury.

McCarthy is officially questionable for the Vikings, along with outside linebacker Tyler Batty, linebacker Blake Cashman, defensive lineman Tyrion Ingram-Dawkins, starting center Michael Jurgens, and starting right tackle Brian O'Neill.

Thursday's Injury Report

Starting cornerback Quinyon Mitchell increased his workload on Thursday and was a full participant as the Eagles prepare to head to Minnesota to take on the Vikings.

Mitchell suffered a hamstring injury in the first half of last Thursday's game against the Giants and was unable to finish. He returned to the practice field on Wednesday in a limited capacity.

The only other change from Wednesday was that defensive tackle Jalen Carter was limited due to a heel injury he suffered in practice ahead of the Giants game. Carter was inactive against New York. He practiced in a full capacity on Wednesday and said that he would play against the Vikings.

Tight end Grant Calcaterra missed a second straight practice with an oblique injury. Guard Landon Dickerson was limited again by an ankle injury that he suffered in the Week 5 Broncos game.

J.J. McCarthy limited again on Thursday

For the second day in a row, Vikings quarterback Carson Wentz (left, non-throwing shoulder) was a full participant, while quarterback J.J. McCarthy was limited due to a high ankle sprain.

McCarthy has missed the last three starts, Wentz is 2-1 as the starter, and this is his first week back on the practice field since suffering the injury.

Wentz should have improved protection as he prepares for his second start against the team that drafted him No. 2 overall in 2016. Starting center Michael Jurgens (hamstring) was a full participant again on Thursday. Starting left guard Donovan Jackson (wrist) improved to a full participant on Thursday. Starting right tackle Brian O'Neill (knee) was limited again.

In his first meeting against his former team, Wentz was sacked nine times by the Eagles when he was a member of Washington in 2022.

One addition to the injury report to keep an eye on. Outside linebacker Jonathan Greenard, who had 24.5 sacks between 2023-24, was limited on Thursday with a hamstring injury. Greenard is a key weapon in Defensive Coordinator Brian Flores' scheme.

Wednesday's Injury Report

The Eagles got some key players back on the practice field ahead of Sunday's game against the Vikings.

Defensive tackle Jalen Carter, who missed Thursday's game with a heel injury, was a full participant in Wednesday's practice. Carter told the media he's "going to play this week." Left guard Landon Dickerson (ankle) and cornerback Quinyon Mitchell (hamstring) were both limited participants. Dickerson was inactive for Week 6 while Mitchell left the Giants game at the end of the first quarter and did not return.

The Eagles turned to veteran Brett Toth to replace Dickerson last week, and Philadelphia went with the outside cornerback tandem of Adoree' Jackson and Kelee Ringo after Mitchell was sidelined. Defensive tackle Gabe Hall was elevated from the practice squad before the Giants game to provide depth amidst Carter's injury.

The only Eagle who didn't practice on Thursday was tight end Grant Calcaterra, who left the Week 5 Broncos game with an oblique injury and was inactive against the Giants. Philadelphia signed tight end Jaheim Bell to the practice squad before Wednesday's practice.

J.J. McCarthy is limited at Wednesday's practice

The biggest question surrounding Minnesota is who will start at quarterback. J.J. McCarthy has missed the past three games with an ankle injury with Carson Wentz starting in his place.

McCarthy was a limited participant on Wednesday while Wentz practiced fully with an injury to his non-throwing shoulder. If Wentz starts on Sunday, it will be the second time he faces the team that drafted him No. 2 overall in 2016.

Everybody on the Vikings' active roster practiced in some capacity. Outside linebacker Andrew Van Ginkel (neck), tackle Brian O'Neill (knee), and offensive lineman Donovan Jackson (wrist) all missed Minnesota's Week 5 game before their bye and were limited practice participants on Wednesday.

Starting center Michael Jurgens, who missed Week 5 with a hamstring injury, was a full participant. Linebacker Blake Cashman (hamstring) and outside linebacker Tyler Batty (knee) are both within their 21-day practice window and were full participants.
