The Eagles were on the practice field Monday for one of their longer sessions of Training Camp, a fully padded, two-plus-hour practice. Here is who stood out:
Highlights
- After spending time this offseason working on his ball skills, Quinyon Mitchell had his second interception of Training Camp on Monday, picking off Tanner McKee. Mitchell had two interceptions in the postseason last year and is showing improvement in that realm this summer.
- Just days after Eric Allen's Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement, it's fitting that the Eagles bump "Buddy's Watching You" during practice. The song featured several stars from that era (Randall Cunningham, Mike Quick, and Reggie White to name a few) and was recorded during Allen's rookie year of 1988.
- With A.J. Brown out, DeVonta Smith had an active day, connecting with Jalen Hurts for some sizeable gains. As he has done throughout his career, Smith worked the sideline perfectly on a couple of reps.
- Johnny Wilson brought in a deep ball from Hurts during 1-on-1s. It was a great throw from Hurts, but a promising play nonetheless from Wilson, who had another catch during team drills.
- The big play of the day came during an end-of-game situation where the third-team offense was trying to hold a lead with under two minutes remaining. Dorian Thompson-Robinson threw a bomb down the left sideline to Giles Jackson, who made a good adjustment for the over-the-shoulder catch and score. That got a big reaction from the offense sideline.
- Elijah Cooks continues his solid Training Camp. He hauled in a deep shot during 1-on-1s, controlling the ball right before going out of bounds, and he used strong hands for a contested catch.
- Eli Ricks is on a hot streak of breaking up passes. He had two on Monday after registering three on Sunday.
- Ty Robinson impressed during O-line vs. D-line 1-on-1s, winning quick on back-to-back reps. The rookie has flashed during Training Camp. It will be interesting to watch how this carries over to the preseason action.
- Thomas Booker batted a McKee pass at the line of scrimmage. ... Taylor Morin had a nice, contested catch from Kyle McCord for a touchdown on the final drive of practice.

Injury Report
A.J. Brown (hamstring) remained sidelined for the second straight day. Zack Baun (back), Lewis Cine (hamstring), Terrace Marshall (knee), Byron Young (groin), Montrell Johnson (hamstring), and Trevor Keegan (back) all did not practice as well. Mac McWilliams (quad) and Ben VanSumeren (ankle) both returned to practice on Monday.
Position Preview: Tight End
Only one player on offense has been in Philadelphia longer than tight end Dallas Goedert (and that's future Hall of Fame tackle Lane Johnson).
Entering his eighth NFL season, Goedert, the team's first draft pick following the Super Bowl LII win, was instrumental in the most recent championship run with 17 catches and 215 yards (most by a tight end in franchise history) in the four games. Goedert is the Eagles' all-time leader with 52 playoff receptions. Injuries limited Goedert to 10 games during the regular season, but his 10-catch, 170-yard performance in the Week 3 win in New Orleans highlighted how Goedert is still a difference-maker in the scheme.
As Head Coach Nick Sirianni has said, the passing game goes through A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Dallas Goedert.
Grant Calcaterra capitalized on Goedert's absence with career highs across the board in 2024 – 24 catches, 298 yards, and a touchdown – while playing 66 percent of the offensive snaps.
The Eagles signed two veterans in free agency – Harrison Bryant and Kylen Granson. Bryant spent the first four years of his career in Cleveland before playing in Las Vegas last season and has 98 catches for 877 yards and 10 touchdowns in 78 career regular-season games.
"Being in this room and seeing how talented it is, it's a lot of fun," Bryant said. "I think everyone has different skill sets, but everyone is very well-rounded, so it's cool to see that, too."
Granson was a former fourth-round pick of the Colts, where he spent the last two years in former Eagles Offensive Coordinator Shane Steichen's scheme. He's got 86 catches for 958 yards and a touchdown in 62 games.
"I'm a versatile guy. I'm adaptable. I've done just about everything, every position, special teams, offensively. I've been in the backfield, I've been split out. I've been hand in the dirt. There's nothing I haven't done. Never not answered the call, so I'm excited to see what that role would be here in Philly and just excited for the opportunity," Granson said.
Nick Muse spent time on the practice squad at the end of last season. He played 16 games over the course of three seasons in Minnesota. Cameron Latu was a former third-round pick of the 49ers out of Alabama in 2023. E.J. Jenkins competed for a roster spot last preseason with the Eagles and was signed from the practice squad to the active roster in December.
On Deck
The Eagles return to the practice field on Tuesday at 10 AM, and Head Coach Nick Sirianni is set to meet with reporters at 9:40 AM. Select players will be available after practice.
