Eagles Place RB Jay Ajayi On Injured Reserve

The Eagles announced Monday that they have placed running back Jay Ajayi on Injured Reserve with a knee injury that he suffered in yesterday's loss to the Minnesota Vikings. The Eagles claimed defensive tackle T.Y. McGill, who was just waived by the Los Angeles Chargers.

Ajayi missed the game Week 3 against the Indianapolis Colts with a back injury he suffered in Week 2. He returned to play the next two games. Ajayi had eight rushes for 29 yards in yesterday's loss. The Eagles now have seven players on Injured Reserve and can only bring back two this season.

McGill, in his fourth season out of N.C. State, played for the Cleveland Browns in 2017 after two seasons with the Colts. He has a career total of 18 tackles, five sacks, two pass deflections, and a safety in 28 games.
