Nick Sirianni: 'I have confidence in the entire group'

After the Black Friday defeat to the Bears, Head Coach Nick Sirianni said that the offense's struggles are not about one person or one aspect of the unit.

"We'll evaluate everything, but like I said to you guys, when you win, when you lose, it's never about one person," Sirianni said. "We all collectively have to do a better job and that's going to be starting with us as coaches, starting with me as head coach, finding solutions to get the offense going, and so I'll put that on us as a staff and put that on me most individually there to help get this thing pointed in the right direction.

"But I still stay with that. It's the greatest team sport there is and it's never about one person. We all have to look internally, and all have to get better, coaches and players."

Sirianni emphasized that he has "confidence in the entire group" and the coaches will use the long weekend to chart a plan to get the offense back on track.

Jalen Hurts: 'We've got to embrace the challenge'

Jalen Hurts has been extremely productive throwing the deep ball this season, as his 33-yard touchdown throw to A.J. Brown in the third quarter was his league-best seventh such scoring pass of 30-plus yards this season.

Hurts has also been able to walk the tightrope of generating explosive plays, while taking care of the football. However, Hurts had two turnovers, an interception and a lost fumble on a Tush Push attempt against the Bears. It was only his fourth and fifth total giveaways all season.

"I can't turn the ball over, so the ultimate goal is to go out there and find a way to win," Hurts said. "That's been a direct correlation with success for us being able to protect the ball and so that really, really killed us."

With extra time ahead of the Week 14 matchup in Los Angeles, Hurts emphasized that "I'll be working" over the weekend.

"We have to definitely stay together. Stay committed to what the team is trying to accomplish. In the end, no one ever said it was going to be easy, and we've got to embrace the challenge. We've got to embrace this time and respond to it the right way," he added.

Reed Blankenship: 'We gotta keep going and growing'

For the second time this season, the Eagles have lost back-to-back games, however, Philadelphia is still multiple games up in the NFC East.

Following Friday's game, players described the locker room as composed and emphasized that the team's season goals continue to be within reach.

"I still trust every guy in here. I'm not gonna sit here and point fingers at nobody," safety Reed Blankenship said. "The first finger I will point is [at] myself. I'm a captain of this team, and I can take a lot of the blame of what happened.

"I gotta be able to communicate better and anticipate stuff a little bit better, but I feel like we can still grow from this. I mean, it's not the end of the world. We lost another game. We lost two games in a row. Yeah, it sucks, but it don't stop. I mean, this life continues to go, so we gotta keep going and growing. And I'm sure we're gonna come back and be locked in, be ready to go."

A.J. Brown: 'We got the right people in this locker room to get it fixed'

The Eagles entered halftime with two first downs and increased their offensive production in the second half. The unit also had two turnovers after halftime, and players noted that improving consistency on offense remains a priority.

"Holding each other accountable, not saying this person could do this, this person can do that. Start with yourself first. And that's what I'm gonna do," running back Saquon Barkley said. "That's what I did last week. That's what I'm gonna do this week. And whether if we lost or we won, you always can do that. Every week is a new week. So take these couple days, regroup, and then you gotta come out ready for Chargers."

Wide receiver A.J. Brown had 10 grabs for 132 yards and two touchdowns against Chicago, but after the game, the first thing he pointed to was the fact that he had a false start penalty. "Stuff like that can't happen," he said.

But just like Barkley, Brown is confident the Eagles have the right personnel to get back on track.

"Anything can get better, just having a positive attitude towards it and really focus on it, and continue chipping away," Brown said. "I said last game, we got the right people in this locker room to get it fixed, and I believe that."
