Cowboys vs. Eagles Inactives

Inactives_16x9_Week1

The Eagles have seven players inactive after elevating safety Marcus Epps and outside linebacker Patrick Johnson from the practice squad:

  • OLB Azeez Ojulari | 13
  • QB Tanner McKee | 16
  • OLB Ogbo Okoronkwo |45
  • C/G Drew Kendall | 66
  • T Cameron Williams | 73
  • G Kenyon Green | 76
  • DT Ty Robinson | 95

All-Pro left guard Landon Dickerson was on the injury report to start the week with a back injury but would have been a full participant at Wednesday's walk-through.

Tanner McKee was ruled out on Wednesday and Sam Howell will serve as the backup quarterback to Jalen Hurts. The Eagles traded for Howell from the Vikings after the final preseason game, and Offensive Coordinator Kevin Patullo lauded Howell's ability to get up to speed quickly.

"He's been amazing," Patullo said this week. "He's worked extremely hard on preparing. [Quarterbacks Coach] Scot Loeffler's done a great job and so has [Passing Game Coordinator] Parks Frazier with him and making sure he knows where we're at with obviously the game plan, but even giving him just a grassroots baseline of the offense because he came in so late."

With Okoronkwo and Ojulari inactive, Nolan Smith, Jalyx Hunt, Joshua Uche, and Johnson will be Philadelphia's edge rushers. The Eagles will have eight active offensive lineman: the starting five and reserves Fred Johnson, Brett Toth, and Matt Pryor.
