Eagles elevate Marcus Epps and Patrick Johnson for Cowboys game

The Eagles elevated safety Marcus Epps and outside linebacker Patrick Johnson for the season opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

Epps was with the New England Patriots this offseason and following his release, Epps signed with the Eagles practice squad last Thursday. Epps has played in 82 career games, making 45 starts. He started 25 games for the Eagles from 2020-22.

Johnson spent the offseason with the Eagles and was resigned to the practice squad after he was released on roster cutdown day. He has played 61 career games in the NFL, including 49 with the Eagles. — Written by Matt Ryan
